I applied to Nova's Entry Level BSN program today for Fall 2012 semester and thought it may be helpful to start up a forum.

Has everyone finished their perquisites? Does anyone else have a not so competitive GPA (like me)? Does anyone know who is considered a competitive applicant? Where is everyone else applying?
I look forward to speaking with everyone and hopefully entering the Fall '12 class together!
My gpa at the end of this semester will be a 3.4 and a 3.2 for my pre reqs. I already work in a hospital so I THINK thats what mostly helped me out for an interview... But during my interview when the other applicants introduced themselves they had jobs that were NOT related to health... So it's kind of confusing?!maybe it depends on which campus you applied to... There were over 600 applicants at the main campus so maybe that's why it's taking them so long... The ft Myers campus had 120. I wonder when the last day to interview is ?!?
Well I hope my 9 years in healthcare helps me out a bit. Of course some of that was in the military but...3.5 years in a hospital. I just don't get it...maybe I will get an interview. Good Luck again to everybody.

I am sure this will help you. They are still sending out emails. So just wait and be hopeful :)
This is getting ugly now.... I have a friend who applied to nova and the got the email saying that she was going to be invite for the interview.... now today she got a letter saying that nova has rejected her for the entering class.... i think they are cutting people already
The email that went out stated that "if" the requirements were met we would be invited for an interview, it didn't guarantee an interview spot. My guess is they're starting to narrow it down before sending out interview invites. Any idea what her stats were? Tell her to keep her head up, I know how hard rejection is..... I got it all summer long
I felt bad for her.. but she had a W on her transcripts... which didnt help her but.. i am kind of surprised how they told her about the interview and now the this letter... i say thanks god i already went to the interview and now i just need to wait for the famous package or letter of rejection...

I think the email for the interviews was sent out to everyone who applied to notify us that the interviews were being held again this year. The email stated that IF we meet all qualifications we would Be notified for an interview time and date. So the school technically did invite her to an interview. But I am sorry for your friend, I hope the rest of us don't receive that rejection letter
any chance you'll tell us what your gpa is so we can make start to make an educated guess on what gpa's are getting interviews? i mean i have all a's on science courses a few b's on other courses and i am utterly confused as to why i haven't received an interview. i have a 3.58 overall gpa and my science courses are all a's. i don't know why some are scared to post their gpa's it's not up to us to decide but we can probably help with some of the stress if we know what gpa's are getting to that next level. anyhow, good luck everybody.
hi! i have not received an interview email yet, but my gpa is a 3.55. i have a's and b's on all courses. i am transfer from fiu and i have medical experience. i work as an lpn. i am also confused as to why we have not yet received an email. i am hoping for the best... but expecting the worst since it appears some students are beginning to receive rejection letters.

I can't believe that I am planning to apply for fall!! (that ur friend was rejected because of a W !!!!!) I have a W in a&p lab but just took it and got an A!! I mean sometimes people get stuck with bad teachers and have no choice but to withdraw

I applied to the Ft myers campus and i have a 3.8 overall GPA and I think I have the same GPA for my sciences!
