Hello everyone!
I applied to Nova's Entry Level BSN program today for Fall 2012 semester and thought it may be helpful to start up a forum.
If you are:
currently applying or plan on applying, a former applicant, a current student, I'd love to hear from you!
Has everyone finished their perquisites? Does anyone else have a not so competitive GPA (like me)? Does anyone know who is considered a competitive applicant? Where is everyone else applying?
I look forward to speaking with everyone and hopefully entering the Fall '12 class together!

I've been following this post today. And plan on applying for the 2013 spring. I transferred to keiser from palm beach state,so that I can get get better science grades (since there seems to be nothing but impossible science teachers at palm beach state)and will be done just in time for the sept.deadline. I hope that you guys get in with ur 3.4-3.7 gpa's!! It will give me and other future wannabe Nova students hope! Cuz I have been stressing out about getting into a bsn program
My W's were from my first semester of school (none of the classes aware required for nursing). I have a 3.5 from my bachelors a 3.7 from my masters and a 3.6 pre req gpa. But like I said, it's really competitive. I applied to 5 schools over the summer and didn't get in. I've been rejected from one for the fall so far. Hopefully there won't be anymore. I know that I'm intelligent and my grades and test scores how it, but there are a lot of smart people applying so im just gonna keep on going at it lol
Samiam: I can believe that you have not been accepted with those titles where does that leave hope for people like me with 2.9 overall gpa's and is still working on science prereq's to raise the overall to a max of 3.3 (if straight A's in micro, A&p 1 and 2 and statistics). I kno I will be done at the end of summer aug. 18th. in time to apply for September this year! OMG you seem more than overqualified and 5schools said NO?!! Did they give a specific reason ? I'm sooooooo worried for myself now?
With a 3.3 your chances aren't that good at NOVA. I don't know about other schools but for some reason NOVA appears to be the Harvard of Nursing Programs, as far as acceptance. They should just hire more instructors. If I don't get in this time I am leaving and going to Barry for a cardiovascular program. Nova has told me no once before and I have a 3.58 and 4.0 in sciences. Not to mention I wasted 2 years at NOVA paying about $30,000 each year minimum...just for them to tell me my Deans List GPA is not good enough.
Hey Samiam! I also have my interview today at 12:30! Can you please update me on how it was when you get out I am so nervous! Lol I would also like to say that I have a 3.17 GPA and I got an interview for today. So everyone keep your head up high! The reason for my low gpa is because I have taken some tough classes and I failed organic chem 2. But i have passed every other science classes with A's and B's.Good luck to everyone!!

this gives me hope because i have a 3.25 GPA i suck horribly at chemistry so i ended up getting a C in chemII and it killed my gpa. im hoping they take everything into consideration because i have a lot of experience- ive been volunteering in hospitals since i was a junior in highschool, ive shadowed many doctors, and ive volunteered internationally. if i dont get accepted anywhere for fall then im going to apply for spring and hopefully i'll get in somewhere then

Did they say it was because of the W? I have a whole semester of withdrawals and my interview is tomorrow. Acceptance is just super competitive. Even though you might meet all the criteria they gotta say no to some. It def sucks though. It takes more than applying once for most to get in.
