I was accepted to FAU and have already started classes. They offered 2 online course over the summer for those admitted for Fall. Have you contacted them?

My friend got a phone call last week for the phd program. I sent an email last week hoping to hear before this week and they told me our decisions still weren't made. But that doesn't mean it's true lol

More opportunities and choices. I've wanted to be a midwife since before I started my BSN program. My last semester I decided that while I do love everything about midwifery I don't know that it's quite right for my personality. I'm very active and I like excitement. And I also like to do different things. I feel like FNP will better suit my needs. This will be my 4th degree and I wanted to be certain it was what I wanted. After research and a pro/con list, I know it's right for me.

Originally midwife. Then changed it to FNP. I'm OK with my choice though. This will be my 4th degree and my other program is close to home. And it has a classroom component, so I'll have some face to face interaction. Good luck to all of you!! I'll still keep you posted if I hear anything!

Yup! This program starts summer. I'm gonna start. If I hear from uf by drop/add then I might switch. But looks like I'm not going to UF even if I get in.

Breathe!!! I started fall 2012. My best piece of advice is to not be too reheorificed! Don't memorize what you're going to say. They will see right through it. Be yourself, it's ok to talk about other things than nursing. They want to see your personality too! Dress professional-suit or dress or what not. Jeans and/or flip flops are not ok! Brush your hair and smile :-) don't compete with the others in your group-instead feed off of them and make it a civilized and well organized interview. If you have any questions don't hesitate to ask! Best of luck and get ready for the ride of your life! This program is no joke!!
