I applied to Nova's Entry Level BSN program today for Fall 2012 semester and thought it may be helpful to start up a forum.

Has everyone finished their perquisites? Does anyone else have a not so competitive GPA (like me)? Does anyone know who is considered a competitive applicant? Where is everyone else applying?
I look forward to speaking with everyone and hopefully entering the Fall '12 class together!
If you don't mind me asking what was your GPA. I have a 3.59 and apparently to get into Nursing school a 3.59 isn't good. In what world is a 3.59, Deans List GPA Average Not Good Enough For A Bachelors Degree. These nursing schools should hire more nursing instructors so we don't have to jump through hoops for a BSN.
i also received an email regarding the interview. thanks for all your post, i feel a little more comfortable knowing that i should be anticipating an email soon, but the waiting is killing me. i also jump at every email notification i receive. its thursday, april 26 and i still haven’t received an email for the interview. i applied to the kendall campus. if anyone could maybe assist with a rough idea of the types of questions and short essays they are requiring it would be a great help. good luck to those with upcoming interviews and those patiently waiting. just have a little faith :)

i am sure you will receive an email soon :) just have faith as you said. the questions at the interview are kind of wacky, they are meant to catch you off guard. some questions during my group were ... if you were a fictional character, which would you be and why? ... if you could be any tree, which would you be and why? ... if you got stuck in an elevator with other people and they were panicking what would you do to clam them down? ... questions like these were what they were asking. and the essay is really not an essay, they ask you to write a paragraph on one of the 3 choices they give you ... from what i remember one was ... you are writing an article for a paper what would ur first paragraph be on university's going smoke free.that's all i can remember. best of luck
Ok so I checked my email this morning and I got one from Novas "web access" ... It gives me a pin to access my account through it where I can get to see my financial aid and email for the school ... Tried to get to the email with my VIP login but it didn't work ... Email also stated that this access does not mean acceptance to the school ... Anyone else receive this email?! What does it meannnn ?!?!?!

Omg.. i freaking out now.... well i already went to the interview and on monday sending my official final transcript,... so nervous now... lets see :)
I had my interview on Thursday the 26th so I don't know how I got this... I'm also at the ft. Myers campus but I really don't know what to think of it -_____-

I really hope this means good news for you. I will just tell you though that I had similar emails for other school over the summer that went out to all the applicants. As long as you met the minimum requirement. It just one step they do before final decisions I guess to save them work later on? I don't know for sure. Keep thinking positive and I'm sure everything will work out!
