I'm going to be at the NLC campus! See you in June for orientation!
Also, congrats for making it to the next semester to all new 2nd - 4th semester NLC/ECC student nurses & congrats to the graduates! :balloons:
Good luck to everyone!
[color=gray]because i left the lights on.
i'm driving my husband's old car, and he's driving my truck now. (his new job is paying for gas.)
anyway, the car has a 'light warning dinger" :chuckle ...but...it's so light that it's barely audible.
i've only been driving the car this week. so, i'm not used to it at all.
so......who's going bathing suit shopping this weekend???
My prime study time was from 11 p - 1 a.m. That way I could spend some of the evening with my dh and kiddos without feeling guilty, then when they went to bed I got started. You'll find your "prime" time before you know it!BTW, I was reading the thread about everyone's schedules...can't remember who but someone mentioned Texas Specialty Hospital...is that the one down on Harry Hines past Parkland? If so, that's where I did my first semester clinicals (it was called by another name then), and I'd be glad to answer any questions I can for ya!
Jamie
Hi Jamie - I am the one who is at Texas Specialty Hospital - I think previously it was called Integrated Health or something like that! I'd love to hear any info/insight that you might have - if you prefer to PM me due to names and details that would be great!!!!
Had lecture today - LOTS of info!! Feel like I am on information overload. I'll be glad when we get to the "fun" stuff in lecture and not just history type stuff - give me blood and guts:wink2: !
FUN - sorry your car was/is sick - but glad to hear you were able to make it home.
KATIE - I have Prof. B for lecture in 1st semester. Where are you doing your clinical this semester for OB/PEDS?
Thanks. My car is feeling much better. I was even able to use the A/C going home. So, unlike the campus policeman said, it was not "Deader than a doornail."
He just didn't leave the cables on my battery long enough. My hubby was pretty ticked off & wanted to give him a few choice words.
(Of course, my husband had to add that it happened because my lights were left on all day because I am a girl.) :chuckle men..
OK.....back to answering questions in my Fundamentals Study Guide.

Oh man, I saw a car on campus with the lights on the other day. I reported it to security, but nobody knew who the car belonged to. I sure feel sorry for them when it was time to leave! At least you could study while you were out there
When I started out at NLC in '91, you had to get a car tag. They knew exactly who the car belonged to. If something was reported, all they had to do is look up your car tag number, and see your schedule, etc.
I guess that's just too much work for them now days.
OH!! Amy, Spill and anyone else applying for Spring '07(is there anyone else?)
I was told today that letters will be sent on Oct 13. Wooo! Two days earlier than I thought
Good luck y'all!! It won't be long at all!!!!!
(As far as the parking permit...I know. Too many tickets given for parking in the grass.) :chuckle (No, I never got one, but I did get a warning once.) haha

I mostly lurk and don't post much, but have been following this thread. I also am applying for Spring 07 semester at El Centro and am anxious to find out if I got in. I am glad that I now have two days less to wait to find out. Thanks for the heads up! :wink2:

Ouch! That sucks. I wish I would have known, I would have jumped you off.
Do you know why your battery died?
