Introduction to Professional Nursing for Integrated Programs is now showing up on ecampus (RNSG 1423-7130) for NLC's Fall '06-1st semester student nurses. :balloons:

(It's empty, though.)

OK....it's finally sinking in a bit. :chuckle

Wow! We ALL have been all over. I have taken classes at BH, NL, MV, and will be going to CV this fall. Of those of you who have been to CV, how is it? I have never even been to the campus yet.

Cedar Valley right? My husband went there for a little bit and he did not like it. He says that it's kinda "ghetto" and there are alot of people that just stand around and listen to music. This was about 2 years ago so maybe it's changed...

Fun, that is sooo cool! I'm getting so worked up over yours, that I can only imagine what I will do for mine!

As for me, I finally scheduled my CPR class. I found a place really close to me, and they are going to hold a special session during the day for me. I thought that was cool!

October 15!!

It will be here quicker than you think!!!!!!!! :D

Guess who got a PDA today???????????/ :balloons: :balloons:

I got the HP iPAQ hx2400 series. It wasn't the most expensive model, but I think it will be good for me. :)

I'm such an electronic gadget geek....this is so right up my alley. :chuckle

It's charging right now, so I can't tell you how it actually runs.

It has Wifi, bluetooth, 256MB memory (up to 128 user available), & dual expansion slots.

It also has a user replaceable battery.....thanks for the tip! :D

This one was about $100 cheaper than the upgrade that offered GPS & a little faster processor speed.

I'm a happy camper. Now to find all the good software. :chuckle

Congrats. Are you going to buy books like a drug guide as a book or as a PDA software?

I'll probably buy the PDA version, and if I see I need the book version, I'll get that on down the line.

Have you bought your 2006 Davis Drug Guide yet? If so, how is it? I know you said you liked the one the library had. They have a PDA version, so if you think it's good, then I may get that brand.

I have seen it at a BN store, it was heavy. :)

I haven't decided what to buy, yet. This is what I will do: I will get some drug names from the drug cards or reviews and go to a big bookstore to look up all those drugs in different drug books. I will buy the one I am most confortable using.

Jaxia,

When are you doing your CPR class? I wanted to do the July 8 at Brookhaven but my boss said that we would probably have to work. So I am going to do the August 5 at Brookhaven. That will be the last thing I must do to have my application packet complete. :D Is that all you lack having your packet complete also? Did you ever find a solution to the 99 hour problem you are having?

I remembered when I was interning in the OR at Methodist there was a rumor that Mountain Valley was trying hard to get EC nursing to make them a second satilite (sp?) campus. They even had an announcement of it on there website (for a minute or two) a while back.

Pam at EC said MV had jumped the gun and it was still just an idea, but that was at least 2 years ago. Has anyone heard about that?

What I've heard on campus (Brookhaven) is that the satellite program at Mountain View will be through Brookhaven. They've recently received full accreditation for their program so they can expand their program. Some of the pre-req's are being offered at MV for Fall '06 and they're hoping to have the first class admitted there for Fall '07.

Smart idea. Guess I better look around.

Sandy.....that is cool... I think NLC will be the next to branch off. :D
