Did you 1st and 2nd semester students have an orientation together today? How was it?

Katie

2nd semester's was at 0900, 1st semester had a later time. I saw Amy walking toward the auditorium. :monkeydance:

2nd semester's LECTURE class today has been CANCELLED. I hope Ms. J's ok. :(

It works out for me though...Kirsten has an ENT appt today. So, I can take her, instead of DH taking off work.

Fun,

Is my Ms. J for lecture the same Ms. J you have for 2nd semester lecture or another Ms. J?

How was she on the first lecture day? Did she talk to you about her surgery? I hope she is OK.

Yes, she did tell us.

Did you do any book reading at all last semester, or only study from the slides and notes? (Did I already ask you that?)

I think the slides are great. I read the book at the end of the semester when it came to pedi diseases. If you compare the lecture slides to the textbook chapters you can see that the slides are giving you a pretty good summary of the chapters. But I have to tell you that I had one clinical groupmate who read every textbook chapter and she got A for lecture. (I made B.)

Hmm....the "A-type" personality doesn't fit me when so many things are due. HAHA

I'll try to read, but geeze....where will the time come from?????????? :uhoh21:

Thanks for this advice. I was flipping through the recommended reading chapters and yes, the slides are like an outline to them.

Did you do any of the study guides that pertained to the chapters to help you study?

Hey guys! It has been a crazy week in 1st semester....but knowing what to expect (words of wisdom from you guys) has helped me to get through. We already had 1 guy drop from our clinical section....he says he didn't realize the time investment it would take. I hope everything is going well for you guys!

Hey, GTChick....'bout time you dropped by again.

I thought about doing the study guides like last semster, but they bite compared to P&P's study guide! :uhoh3:

Kathy....OMGOODNESS! If he had made it past 1st, he would have went nuts with the 2nd semester schedule. :lol2:

I couldn't believe someone had dropped already. I wonder if it's too late to let someone else in? If so, I'd sure be upset if I was that next person on the list.
