Also, congrats for making it to the next semester to all new 2nd - 4th semester NLC/ECC student nurses & congrats to the graduates! :balloons:

Good luck to everyone!

Looks like I need to invest in a HESI review book. Is it good for 2nd and 4th semesters, or is there a different one for 4th?

(Gee..I ask so many questions!) hahaa

I really do appreciate the help.... I just wish there were more members on here to help y'all out! :)

You can ask all you want!!!!!! I love helping out!!! I just wish I could provide more info for you!!

The HESI book is good for the rest of the program as it has all of the sections. For 2nd semester HESI- you only have to study the Maternity and Pediatrics sections and you can look in that first part for some 1st semester refreshers (I can't remember the tab for that).

Apparently there is a blue Saunders NCLEX review book (I have a green one) that carried a lot of people through 2nd semester. I don't know what version it is- all I know is that it is blue! I am looking for it though so if anyone finds it- let me know :D

Thanks, that helps out so much! I'll have to get one when I get back.

I have the green NCLEX as well....Maybe the blue one is the Comprehensive book. ????

Did y'all get this?

http://www.elcentrocollege.edu/Programs/FacultyWeb/Becker/PediHESIReview.pdf (This website doesn't put the whole URL on the page....so click on it. Don't copy and paste.

I typed [GOOGLE]HESI Review[/GOOGLE] on Google and found it.

It looks like a good study tool, along with the book, etc. I wondered about it at first, but then I found a link to it on a different school's website. So, it's not hidden info. :)

(A little late if you weren't given it.) :uhoh3:

That is a GREAT study tool!! That was in our clinical handbook but I didn't look at it much until recently and it really would have been helpful! ;)

Cool! I have that book also. It seems like all the "good" books ya'll keep mentioning I have. I sure hope they all help me. I just wonder when the heck I will have time to read them all. I was talking to a friend of mine I hadn't seen in awhile on Saturday and he asked if I had a BF. I said "No, I am MARRIED TO SCHOOL for the next 2 years!" LOL!

How cool is that!?!?!?! Did you just now find out????

:) Thanks Fun! Yes, I JUST found out. They sent out scores today but it was also available online. I have been checking all day...it wasn't posted until after 11:00 pm. I checked several times before I went to work today and also at 10:30 pm when I got home and it wasn't posted. It is actually supposed to be posted on Dec. 19. I had been checking alot thinking it might get posted a bit early. I am SOO glad I passed because I didn't know what I was gonna do for a part time job if I didn't pass. Whew! It really sucked waiting a whole month to find out! :)

:balloons:

I have already updated my resume and have copies all ready to go. I am going to start job hunting tomorrow before work and for the rest of the week before work. I am SOO happy I passed! Now I just need to calm down so I can go to sleep!

I didn't think HESI was hard at all. I was just extremely anxious and made a few stupid mistakes which were very costly. After passing 1st and 2nd semester tests- HESI feels like nothing. I just get test anxiety so bad that it affects my train of thought. If anyone has ideas for how to treat that- I would be more than willing to try it. I have a feeling I am going to need medical intervention as deep breaths and good night sleeps do nothing for me :lol2:

Did you do positive thinking before the test? Did you tell yourself how great it was to take the hesi because you studied a lot, and you were ready to make a high passing score? Did you see yourself being happy during and after the test? Did you smile before the test and cheer for others and yourself? ;)

So, virtual clinicals takes more time to complete than hesi case studies? I am happy that you already done with the case studies.
