Across Parkland and next to a gas station.

Turn off of Harry Hines next to the old McDonalds that is now boarded up across from Parklands main entrance.

Go down Butler about a block and it will be on your left. I don't recall a gas station. There is a BBQ joint and a lumber yard nearby.

(I found my books cheaper on Amazon most of the time - just be sure you check the ISBN and that it is the same!

B&N backorders everything and doesn't tell you - so don't bother ordering from them)

Wait a minute! The McD's near Major's is closed? Boarded up? What about the one in the hospital? Are they still supplying Parkland with patients? :lol2:

The BBQ place near Major's used to pump that heavenly scent into the air to entice customers. The food was pretty good.

Thanks all for the info. on majors bookstore. I'll probably stop by there Saturday after my last final. I made a 100 on my Stats final and finished with a 98 average. :D I know, this is probably the last time I'll be seeing grades like this for a couple of years but I don't really care as long as I SURVIVE!

Also, for textbooks I have found textbooks.com. They are a little cheaper than Amazon for new stuff and they have some used books as well. They charge no tax (unless you live in Missouri) and have free shipping if you spend $25.00 or more. They also claim to ship out within 1 business day. I know Amazon, if you pick free shipping, will wait a few days before they ship. Of course, this is to make you want to pay $79.99 per year for "premium shipping service". Then there is also Ebay. So far, I have picked up about 5 of the 15 items that we need at a pretty big savings.

Did you guys know that is the busiest McDs in the nation?! And Parkland now is number 1 with the most babies being born in the nation with something like 32 being born a day! I feel like I've shared this here before so if I have then just ignore me hahaha

Doughterys is a big pharmacy on the corner of Preston and Royal. I just liked going there because I could find just about anything I needed and some people got a great deal on Littmans but they were sold out by the time I got there. That was last semester and I haven't looked for them there since then because now I have one. Majors will become your new favorite store! I always walk out of there with a something new!! :lol2:

OMG!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So, does that mean there's something funny going on there? "Eat a burger, have a baby?" :lol2: :lol2:

Here all this time I thought it was the water. :uhoh3:

lol Katie. (It's the prize inside....a baby.) haha

Well....just checked ecampus. Still no blueprint for the final. :( Oh well, maybe tomorrow.

.....Back to studying aimlessly. :uhoh21:

I think we all know why Parkland is so busy. That's all I am going to say. I can feel the need for some duct tape coming on so I will shut up now about that issue.

Yep, you are right. Parkland is # 1 in the US and #2 in the WORLD for babies delivered at a single hospital per year. #1 is a hospital in India. I recently ran across an article about that somewhere.

I was thinking Doughterys that you were referring to was a pharmacy. I use to work at an assisted living facility and we use to get meds delivered all the time from Doughterys but I never know where it was. Thanks for the info.
