:lol2: Amy. After 18 surgeries....I don't give a crap what people think....it's just one of those things....(May not be a beauty queen, but you should have seen me before.) lol

Anyway...I love mine with the four pockets. Is that the one you picked?

After knowing 2 students who transferred out after 2nd semester, as well as professors who have taught at both schools, I can tell you from their experience, the material at El Centro is NOT MORE DIFFICULT. It's the same.

There is a big problem with the grading in terms of GPA if/when you transfer to a Bachelor's Program, apply for an advanced position, apply for scholarships, etc, etc because students with a 80-83 are given a 2.0 GPA for that class. The rest of the educational system looks at a 2.0 GPA as less than 80 (and above a 70 or 72). El Centro students lose out in that regard because they are unfairly compared to other students who had the same content and material, but were graded on the same scale as other colleges. For these reasons, someone may eventually legally challenge the grading system.

Something to think about when others ask you about your experience at El Centro!

First of all...:welcome: to AllNurses.com! :)

I don't think anyone would say the MATERIAL is harder...in fact we had this discussion today waiting to take our final.

The material should be the same. Fundamentals of Nursing is just that. There shouldn't be a major differences in books. The way it is presented, of course, is different.

It is just sad that a person can make a 77 on lecture because he/she bombed one exam, and fail the whole semester.

That said......Today is a happy day for some, a sad day for others. I'm sorry if you are reading this and it's a sad day. ;(

As for me, IT'S A HAPPY DAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :monkeydance: :balloons: :lol2:

I made a 96 on the final exam!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

....AND......I found out that I made a 92 on test 5!

OK...with all the excitement....I still have a B though. :lol2: 87 average...kind of sux because it's so close to an A, but oh well....could be worse! :)

Mysterious.......I can see where all the confusion is on the schedule for next semester..... What a mess. I'm glad they can decipher it. I looked at it after the final.....yeah right. I had to come home and calm down a little. LOL!
