YEAH KENDRA!!!!!!!!
You definitely deserve a pat on the back! Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!
Sorry to hear about your hubby and his mother. Wow.
You are truly an inspiration! :balloons:
Good luck on your speech class. At least it's a somewhat relaxing class. Are you taking it at the school, or online? I took mine online and sent in video speeches.....haha
CONGRATULATIONS to all that passed their final and are moving on up to 2nd semester!!!
I passed my final..YES....and I was one of those who was failing lecture. I did miserable, horribly, bad on test 4 but got off the ground and picked myself back up and did it!!! Though I lost my B, I still passed!!!
Good Luck to everyone for next semester!!
I know what you mean Fun, picking the choices....
I went for Parkland as my first choice, I wish we had Scotish Rite on our list, as you guys have, I definetly would go for that one. Did you say you have B. Fields as one of your Cl instructors. If so , I had her in first sem. and loved her. Lot's of paper work, but she's very fun to work with and I believe Pedi is her speciality. She is a NP in Pediatrics, I believe at Scotish Rite, if I'm not mistaken.
Thanks.
Yes, I feel very fortunate for my grades. There is just sooooo much to do, but so little time to do it in.
Yeah, it's sad that I only ended up with an 87, but it could be sooooo much worse. There were those that didn't make it to the final, and those where the final would determine their future. (Yes, the final can do this for everyone, but I'm talking about the ones cutting it toooooo close for comfort!)
I feel very lucky!!!

Today is a happy day for me too! I had lost my 'B' after the 4th test......but worked my tail off and earned it back between the 5th and Final! Now......let me tell you what kind of semester it has been. Let me preface this story by saying I have 4 kids ages 20-10. The 20 year old is a senior at SMU, 18 year old who is autistic, and two 10 year olds, one who has cerebral palsy. In early October, my husband had major surgery and was in the hospital for a week. This was the same week we started clinicals. I told myself...I can handle this. Well he got out on Monday October 16 and went back to the hospital on Thursday October 19 for another week.....with pnemonia. He did not do what he was supposed to do (deep breath, cough, and turn, or the inspiration spirometer). He got out on October 27. Two weeks after that we found out his mother has terminal cancer, spread throughout the abdomen. So......off he goes to be with his mother in Canada. I am glad he has gotten these last moments with his mother....but let me tell you what kind of wreck I have been! I can honestly say.....If you want it bad enough, you can make it through anything.
That said......I start my Speech class on Friday (wintermester). I am just a glutton for punishment. But I would rather get it out of the say than to mess with it while taking the nursing classes too.
