Congrats to all of us that were accepted to the nursing program at either campus for Fall '06!!!!

I think she is doing well....and enjoying her new NP title and position. She pops in now and then too. :balloons:

Christmas break?????????? I am SOOOOO ready for it! Two weeks away, and I'll know my fate for next semester! :eek:

I'll be pre-studying on the way to/from Florida for Christmas, but at least the stess will be reduced for a while. :balloons:

We take hesi in 3 weeks and we are done. I can't wait to get my 3rd semester envelope from the secretary.

LOL! We are leaving the week after school is out for Christmas vacation. I think my kiddos go until the 16th or 17th.

We are driving, but luckily we are taking our own vehicle. I may stick my kiddos with my mom in her car if they start getting restless! HAHAHAHA... Peace and quiet for myself! :lol2: :lol2:

So, exactly when should we get 2nd semester information? I have to have my scholarship paperwork signed before I can get the tuition and extra books paid for. They don't wait until after the final to schedule, right?????? :eek:

I got my envelope with the clinical options on the same day I finished the final lecture test.

We have a girl in our class right now who didn't go drop after this last test and she is going to challenge it. She is planning on making a 90 something on the 4th test and the final and see what they say when she has a final 78 PASSING average. It's going to be aaaawesome if she does it! What are they going to say?! That she can't move on?! I'm so proud of her for taking a stand! I just hope she can do it. She has a 60, 68, and 78 right now so I think she told me she needed a 96 and a 94 or something like that. I will definitely keep y'all updated on it.....

About the 78% passing rate- I personally think they raise the bar so high so not so many people will be taking the NCLEX so they can keep their 98% passing rate or something like that because there are hardly any students left to take it! :lol2:

Yeah they don't let you choose your clinicals for the next semester until you have completed the final. You have like 3 or 4 weeks to mail back in your choices. They let you know all of that at the time.

I'm sure you could tell the school your situation and they would work with you on getting registered for the next semester. You're probably not the first person to ever have that kind of predicament and they will work with you. I would just tell them about it soon....

OK.....rumor has it that Brookaven's program isn't a #@&*(#& like El Centro's program. Rumor has it that 29 out of the origininal 30 graduated, and with a 100% pass rate. Rumor has it again....their instructors aren't hell-bent to fail you as it seems some of El Centro's intructors are.

I know from their website, they have won an award already.

...AND....this person already knows the clinical assignment for next semester.....before finals!!!!!! :eek:
