I found myself so fond of Katie Duke in her NYER days. But her shameless self promotion to win Dr. Oz's nurse contest has really just turned me off. She and Kati Kleber have suddenly become the face of nursing, and yet, I feel a disconnect, as if they don't truly represent what nursing is like at all.
In light of The View controversy, I just wish nursing DID have an honest, accurate face.
Just my two cents!

Don't know who these people are or what NYER is, but, I agree with the words I do know.

I will never agree with words I do not know. I do, however, nod sagely at words I do not know.

So lost here. But I'm glad I'm not the only one. We're all lost together! Yay! :)

New York ER. A TV show at I can't remember which ER in NYC.
And no, not a fan of hers.
I can't give you a link that tells the whole story, but Google both names. You'll get a good picture.

NY ER was a TV show.. One was made "famous" for being fired during the taping of the show. It was a decent show, but Dr. Oz is completely overrated.
Correct. And it thrust Katie Duke into the spotlight. And for awhile, she did a good job representing nurses. But lately .. crash and burn.

I never watched the show but I never liked Dr. Oz.
