NMC Test Online

Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

It was really encouraging reading all the struggles that some people have had and success of those that persisted. I think I've screwed up :(

I've just about finished my grad year, so I have a few weeks till I can go through the process on the nmc website. My plan was always to finish a year or so of nursing, resign and travel for a few months before I get to the UK to do the OSCE. My friends are going over in July so I booked a flight with them. I started the process in March (looking into everything I needed to do. I took the IELTS but I didn't take a UKVI one as I'm in Brisbane and it's not available here. I did the IELTS test on the 11th of April so that's just days after the change. I am applying for the youth mobility Visa and the centre did ring me the afternoon before and tell me there was a chance I might have to do the UKVI exam but I had so many things on I thought I'd just go through with it.

There's a few scenarios in my head that will happen, I will go through the process and it will let me through to the stage where I can take the CBT exam and then I will be able to start all the paperwork. Then I'm either hoping for a miracle and they somehow accept that I did the normal IELTS or at worst they want me to do the IELTS with UKVI. I've got the Royal Marsden text book, downloaded the blue print and have plenty of links thanks to you people on here and planning on doing the exam at the end of the month so hopefully it all works out. I'm doing it through continental travel nurse (hopefully)

Anyone able to offer any advice with my situation?

Hi Puccafied... Indeed the pearsonvue sent me a message to sched my exam within Apr 30 to October 30 2015... so, I still dont have to submit any documents from PRC or UNIversity..? because i did not receive any pdf files for any forms to be filled up by my school and PRC... thank you for the reply..

passing the eligibility test means you are eligible to take the NMC CBT. Once you pass that, the nmc will send you the files you need to accomplish..

Uk nmc/nursing registration

1) ielts

2) create an account on nmc/apply for an eligibility to take the cbt/ielts info is needed/once eligible nmc will email you your authorization to take the cbt/cbt will cost you 130 pounds

3) schedule your cbt/misnet or pearsonvue/passed?

4) pay for the final assessment fee worth 140 pounds/nmc will provide you forms to be downloaded while filling up the needed details and scanned forms of your: Passport, nso birth, prc board cert, nbi(no more than 3 months from the date it was issued)/make sure docs are less than 100 kb so it can easily be uploaded

5) dont press the submit application yet until youve downloaded all the forms needed for verification: School, prc, work and health declaration

6) proceed with the submit application/print all forms/ complete all forms for verification/compile/send it all as one to nmc

7) wait for your osce

8) once with osce/cos will be provided/proceed with you medical and iom tb test/visa application

Hey Liza,

Yes basically you need to pass the test first and pay your application fee before any of the full application files will be made available to you, this includes the opening of the option to download some of your papers directly into your NMC account and some files that need to be downloaded and shipped of to the NMC. The full application is pretty straight forward and they do provide clear instructions on how you can go about the completion of their requirements-- so I wouldn't worry about it too much at the moment, since everything hinges on your CBT for now.

You mention sending everything that was printed out all as one to the NMC. But however some of those papers clearly stated that they should be sent by the Body that completed them (like the school and the licensing body).

Hey Guys,

Has anyone received their authorization for OSCE? Or atleast any word for the NMC about submitted full applications??

Gisbonm88 this is for you!

HI there I am 4 years post qualification and got the 2 year visa.

I have 5 months remaining on my visa to finish this nursing registration. My honest advice is do not apply for your youth mobility scheme visa until you have approval to do the OSCE - only because you will use up too much time on your visa waiting. Instead you can come over do the OSCE and be essentially not too far away from being registered and still have the maximum amount of time on your visa remaining.

Make sure you study so much for that test of competence I did the entire blueprint and read the entire royal marsden text book and I passed on the second time. I sat it the first time only a month after this new process started - basically one of the brand new guinea pigs.

Hope that advice is ok! Goodluck!!!

@pucafield

hi! I skipped adding my registration details in Saudi in the post qualification details. Would this be a problem?

Hi guys! What version of Royal Marsden do we need to read for CBT? The student or professional? Thank you so much!
