  1. @petrick,RN I was on duty when you guys arrived! are you staying here in bonham? would love to meet you guys!
  2. that 180 might be far from here. :) anyway, im still waiting for my DL. we are expected to take the osce after 3 months.. :) are you staying here in bonham carter as well?
  3. hi petrick,rn we are all staying right now in the hospital accommodation. I will transfer next month but still with one of the hospital acc. We thought we'd adjust first with everything before we transfer to a house/flat of our own. We extended our contract with the hosp acc for 6 months. it's a great location for starters since it's only 5-10 mins away from the hospital. we're having osce lectures/assessments during Mondays. It's a self-directed learning but the trust organized sessions for reinforcement. i just borrow books from the library and watch videos online. It's getting really cold so make sure you bring with you thick coats/jackets. but to tell you honestly i came here without any winter/autumn clothes hahahaha. i bought mine here. :) you'll be fine. how many of you are flying next week? SEE YOU IN A FEW DAYS!
  4. The man interviewed here is our nursing educator. I work next to the area where this was filmed. There are lots of Filipinos working in this trust. Most of the hospitals here, if not all, are short-staffed and they rely on bank/agency nurses which cost them so much more. NHS NEEDS MORE NURSES and the government should accept that fact! Don't worry. The nursing force is doing something about this. This cannot go on!!! UK NEEDS MORE NURSES!!! PRAYERS!! We need prayers indeed. @petrick, RN I heard you're coming this month? are you? See you real soon!!!!!!!!!
  5. oh i meant 4 more filipinos to join in our unit alone but i know that there are more who'll be coming on the 24th :)
  6. @Liza RN, your employer is uclh?? don't switch!!! haha. Submit your forms asap, see you soon!!!
  7. hi guys! anybody here under omanfil-uclh?? my line manager informed me that there will be 4 more filipino nurses who'll join the team!!!
  8. Did you already have yours? I got a news that there are 22 (not sure) approved COS for KCH. :) hope you are one of them!! UCLH. Yes, I received it this first week of August. We were interviewed last April 23-24. We are actually the 2nd batch to go. Our group is bound to London tomorrow. :) Waiting time is 3-4 months depending on how fast you complete your requirements. Some waited only 2 months (they were interviewed in June)!! Are you also under Omanfil? They're great and they have great hospitals!
  9. Omanfil. :)
  10. Hi. Im under OMANFIL-UCLH. I heard that, KCH, like UCLH, are deploying nurses who are still waiting for their DL. While waiting, nurses will undergo training for the OSCE and also work as an HCA. I got interviewed last April. Took my cbt on May. So I finished my nmc forms mid June and NMC informed me that they started my assesment last July3.. Actually, I got my certificate of sponsorship from my hospital and I am scheduled for my visa already. I have not received my DL yet but gladly, my employer, UCLH, deploys nurses even without their DL yet. We'll undergo training and have lectures in prep for the OSCE and might work as an HCA first while waiting. :) Hope this helps!
  11. hi. you can apply on your own but agencies are a big help in terms of finding an employer. There is no placement fee in Omanfil (as well as in other agencies like ASC and Ipams). I paid for my ielts, which will be reimbursed pre-departure. I also shouldered the NMC application for nursing (£140) and my CBT exam of £130 (im not sure if this will be reimbursed by my employer, i forgot! LOL). The VISA processing(£564) and international health surcharge (£600) are sponsored (the head of Omanfil uses his credit card to pay online) during application but will be reclaimed (salary deduction). Medical exams are around 1875php and the IOM is 3,200php both are shouldered by the applicant. If you plan to be a UKRN, act soon! There are so many changes in their requirements and they're getting stricter. Good luck!!! :)
  12. not yet! I emailed youuuuu! congrats!!!
  13. hi Liza! Good luck on your cbt!! :)
  14. hi cjinc!! Im glad to know more applicants under uclh.. :) when's your tentative date?
  15. @petrick, RN I hope so too! See you and kaname_zero soon!!
