Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!
I'm one of the unlucky ones that got trapped with the transition and was forced to undergo thru the new rules. It has been almost a year of pingponging of mails with NMC (each costs at least £6 via royal mail). NMC really tests your patience with their bureaucracy. I am a Filipina nurse with few years experience in surgical ICU (specialises in cabg, mvr and other major heart sx) and have moved in the UK with my husband last year, I will be starting a job as a care assistant earning minimum next week because I am literally scraping the bottom of the barrel for self-confidence. I also an NCLEX passer, so it pays on how to tackle the questions strategically. I have not finished reading the royal marsden book yet and I would like to ask you people if it's really helpful to read the infamous blue print? hehe! I will be taking the exam on 22nd in Manchester, wish me luck! Thanks!
Royal marsden.. Forget the blueprint.. I'm affected with transition as well. Just called up nmc today and was told to request for transfer of documents. Unfortunately, payment can not be carried over so i paid £140 AGAIN! Ugh!! :) pm me your number.. M n uk as well.. We could help each other..
Hello kizmwah, I'm a novice wrt this forum and I can't figure out how to send you a private message. I have added you as a contact but I don't know if that'll solve it. Oh yes! Please don't remind me of how gruelling it is to speak with someone from NMC that says logical things!!!! Like my husband said, they are just happy to do the minimum that they're required to and would gladly skive!! ugh

All of us here used the 8th edition (student). 9th ed just came out last month and i don't know if there are a lot if changes. I've noticed though from the additional resources of the student edition that you can access online that one chapter is missing. with MCQs (Multiple Choice Questions) the one they have online is the same with the one in the book (8th ed) but with 1 additional question in some chapters. :)

It is better to click the submit button once the entire procedure is completed because, once you do so , you wont be able to download the forms anymore. My senior nurse entered the start date wrong and I had to download the form again.Such mistakes can occur. So finish everything and then submit..
