Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

Congrats. IIRC the CBT pass status is valid for 2 years.

Passed the CBT!!! Wwwwhhheeewwwwww! However, I'm going on holiday to Europe for about a month. So excited! How long does the "CBT pass" last for? Will I be able to start my assessment when I get back without problems?

congrats!!!! if you're not too busy yet, kindly give us some advise, re the exam! thanks

After almost 2 years since I started my NMC application, I got my DL last week!!! Patience is indeed a virtue!! I've got a dilemma though, I don't have my original registration certificates from Egypt (worked there for 2 years) as this was kept by my employer and refuses to give me the original, and I do believe that the original is necessary during Identity checks.

Wow that's a long wait. May I ask the reason why it took you almost 2 years to finally get your DL? And yes, I believe the original Certificate of Registration has to be shown during the OSCE check.

Hello everyone. Processing of requirement assessments require 70days as NMC says, just wondering, is this 70 working days or 70days including weekends? Thank you

70 working days, not calendar days.

Thanks!

When did you send your documents? I just sent my pack last week. How would you know that your application is on queue?

The agency sent my documents last week of June, and it was uploaded on my NMC portal mid July. For the queue, I think once you see your documents uploaded in your portal, then you are automatically on the queue.

With regards this; as ive read from the NHS Employers guidance on COS issuances, All COS necessitated by the hospital has to be applied for by the 5th of each month (any later application will be taken in on the 5th of the following month).

The applications are then processed (for approval or disapproval) on the 11th of each month.

Now i believe that the earliest decision letter for us under Barts came in last July so the soonest that Barts could have applied for it is the 5th of this month.

We may just have to buckle in and wait for news after the 11th since by that time we'll find out exactly if they applied for our COS or not.

Hi Rinkishikika! when preparing for the CBT, I would suggest you read The Code (obviously). I don't believe there are direct questions from the code, but its more of the guidelines that you have to work by as a professional nurse. I would read the publications from the NMC on safeguarding, social media, The yellow card scheme, MEWS/NEWS, medical management, and mental capacity act (to name the ones I can remember). Also read the Royal Marsden text. There were a lot of medsurg questions throughout.

Good luck on your exam! and stay positive!

Thank you so much! :)

i have question regarding the docs i send, NMC already received my docs (school records, prc, declaration of good health and employer references). all of them except my school records has an indication " this document has been received". i sent them all in one parcel, is that the problem?
