Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

Hi! Congrats! :)

How long did you prepare for the exam?

Godbless sofiebear :)

I'll take mine on 19th. I also kinda want to take the exam tomorrow haha

Hi everyone. Is there anybody here who could recommend an agency, aside from ASC, who assist applicants for the UK? An agency who has deployed nurses for the past few years. I'm with one and my batch is the first for them so I'm really not sure whether to continue with them or not. I don't know if being the first group is an advantage or a disadvantage. THank you.

you can try with IPAMS or Alliance International. i know they also assist applicants for the UK.

hi how was your exam?:)

sorry that was for sofiebear. :) i need some test tips.. will do my 2nd attempt on the 25th.. yep failed the first one and like most people from here felt that it was pretty easy! (the easiest test i ever took)..i was shocked and frustrated to death to see "fail" right there.. all efforts made, hired a yaya for my baby, travelled all the way from Baguio then back again, no sleep at that. whew!! couldn't sleep until i figure what went wrong.. then it hit me! it was the MEWs scoring! obviously a critical question because it deals with deterioration of patients.. didn't read about it. but yeah. i guess that was the culrpit. anywayyy... please help. the blueprint is crazy! has anyone here failed the 2nd attempt yet? i hope i won't be the first one í ½í¸

Hi em! Why didn't you want to be with ASC. I am also looking for an agency. My friend was under ASC and he was already deployed to Kingston. I had an employer's interview with Aureus Manpower and during the queue, I got to know applicants from IPAMS and they said they already had the DL but IPAMS didnt already have their COS.

Hi! Though I'm not sofiebear I would like to share that I'm currently reading and answering scie's safeguarding exams. It can be viewed in their site. Just google it. There are 20 questions in safeguarding. Had you read the entire Royal Marsden Manual? What are the other questions you encountered? How long did you reviewed for your 1st cbt exam?

hi kelubi thanks for the tip! i really appreciate it:) i had the Royal Marsden book printed out and read just the important topics but i did the chapter tests online. (a lot of it were in the exam word per word). lots of care for the elderly, whoch reminds me of a question why old people don't present with fever? i dont know the answer apart from knowing that the thermoregulation of the elderly is altered, and that was not in the choices.. i had 3 weeks review the first time though wasn't able to study much because of my baby who hates her yaya.. anyway.. this time i have a month roughly but not able to concentrate because i have already studies the same things and its just so boring especially the blueprint.. i registered on this online review BMJ onexamination? had 333 points which i perfected already.. now im back on the bloody blueprint and its driving me mad:(

Hi! I have a question, once your papers have been delivered to the NMC, will they update your portal righy away with 'Document received' or it will take quite some time? Cause my papers have been delivered to the NMC last week and I can only view my portal as 'Read Only'. Please do advise. Thank you!

Hi Cj_experience! I gave some tips 1-2 pages back in this thread (if you haven't already read it). The most important point is to read up on patient safety and to know when you need to speak to the MD. The exam gives you leeway on the medsurg questions to get some wrong. But the critical questions on patient safety, NEWS/MEWS, 6 C/s, safeguarding, The Code, NMC, social media, yellow card scheme, informed consent, mental capacity, raising concerns, etc YOU NEED TO GET CORRECT to ultimately pass.

Good luck! I hope you do great!

I had around 6-7 basic drug calculations, social media questions, many controlled medication questions, waste disposal and mostly professional conduct.
