NMC Test Online

Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

Hello,

I am new to this forum. I will be taking the CBT for the first time Aug 6th. I will be moving to the UK shortly after that. For those of you who have passed the CBT, how long after passing were you able to view and download forms from NMC site for assessment? I greatly appreciate your help and your answers. Thank you :)

Hi Kizmwah we are basically the same as I'm based in the UK also but all my docs have to come from my home country. My TOR and med. Certificate have been sent 9 July so hopefully NMC will receive it soon. If your documents are incomplete yet they won't start assessing you? As of now I'm reading the Royal Marsden book 7th edition since it's been 6 years since I stopped Nursing job. How long since you stopped working as a nurse? I hope you will share your experience with OSCE as it is very expensive. I'm sure many will greatly appreciate any feedback esp. As you are on the verge of taking the OSCE. Very good luck to you and hope to hear from you soon. í ½í¸ƒ

Hi melcahussy!

I really don't know when they would start assessing the documents but from what i have read from comments here, it seems like they do it only when they receive everything. I've stopped working as a nurse since i came here and that's almost 5 yrs now. That's why i was so happy when i got my dl. Thanks and God bless to all of us aspiring UK nurses. :) will surely update as my way of saying thanks to everybody in this forum.

@lot888

Congratulations! I would like to know if the NMC have actually contacted your referee for confirmation? Thanks!

Hi Loveliegrace,RN!

I have talked to my referees and they told me nobody called them regarding my application.

Thank you and good luck too!

@littlekara Hey there! First of all, God bless on your exam day! Cheers to us Filipino nurses :-)

Anyway, back to your question. You will receive an email from the NMC re: result of your CBT after a few hours (in my case 3 hours). You can immediately pay for the application fee which amounts to 130gbp and prompted to the application page to complete your info. You'll be able to download the forms (to be submitted to your referrees md, school) also on the same page. Take note that the necessary files to be uploaded (ie: birth cert, prc, nbi clearance, diploma) should be in pdf format. Hope this helps!

Just an addendum. For those not in the Philippines, "PRC" would refer to your registration authority, and "NBI" would be your police clearance.

@gylyweed Thank you for the info. It is much appreciated. God bless you as well as you move onto the OSCE :)

@johnnnius to warn you though, the trusts will implement a no DL, no CoS policy in the near future so I hope you get yours soon. You know how the trends are these days. All crazy to me. You don't have to be anxious re if your assessment has started, I only received one email update from NMC and that is I can proceed to the next step of the application process. Just chill and I know your time will come ;-)

I hope I get my COS sooner before that happens but thanks for the heads up! This waiting game is both challenging and crazy and it's a bit hard to chill haha but I'm trusting God that the waiting will soon be over. If I may know, is your friend also from Omanfil too? Wishing you both good luck and God speed as you both move along to take the OSCE. Thanks a lot and keep us posted :)

Hi guys

I know this may sound too lame, but I am really having a hard time looking for the e-mail address of PRC (Professional Regulation Commission). I kept ending at PRC Official Website - Contact Us which is obviously the web address.

Could someone kindly provide it here? Or you just indicated N/A? If this is restricted though (posting of e-mail addresses, even for government agencies), could you just send it via a private message? One last thing, the phone number that you guys indicated was the one for License Verification right, this one: 3102020, right? Thanks a bunch!

Hi @thesportyscribe I'm also under OMANFIL for King's College. Don't you find it weird that we still did not sign contracts directly from King's? I have friends under addenbrooke who already signed contracts directly from their employers but King's did not draw up contracts for us yet. Just like you I'm also waiting for my decision letter.

Hi NikkiFlores! I too am for KCH at Omanfil. I am also quite bewildered that the hospital has not yet forwarded me a job offer to sign, considering that I have already complied with the other required docs (OH and KCH occupational forms), visa docs (medical examand IOM cert) and have got an NMC DL. I assumed that this (job offer contract) would be the first document that I should be receiving from them and still now, I have yet to receive it.

I keep making a follow up to the agency about this, and I still get the same response that they too have been waiting for KCH to send it.

Regarding the COS, do you have any idea how long it would take the hospital to process it? and I see that they told you about the deployment date. I am just hoping that we all get to receive our COS well before the tentative deployment date.

Hi guys,

Thanks for all the tips. It really helped me with the cbt. I have a question about the files we have to upload like the diploma or certificate from prc, do we need to have them authenticated, or can we just upload them as they are, since they are the original forms? The process is a bit confusing for me since my agency is letting me do all the work. Thanks so much and I surely appreciate it.

Yes, that's their number, but add a 2 prior for area code. That'd be 23102020.
