NMC Test Online
Hi there! Today Sept 8 is actually my 60th day of waiting for my DL that's why I'm getting more anxious. I called them up to ask for updates but to add up to my dismay, they told me that the counting of days doesn't include their holidays and weekends! Now that's insanely disappointing as I was earlier expecting that I could have mine in 10 days time. =( I really hope I could receive mine (and yours too) since Nov 5 is getting closer, we all know what that means. =( As for the COS, it is being issued monthly, every 11th of the month after their monthly conferences. COS backlogs from the previous month is one of the probable reasons why we keep waiting til now. Read more about "COS backlogs" here: https://nursesrounds.wordpress.com/career/what-is-cos-backlog/ There's a link here to a site where we could see the monthly allocations and the number of COS up for distribution, updated every month. =)

Good day everyone! Anyone here who was also put on assessment queue on or within the week of July 10 and still waiting for your DL like me? Or did anyone who was put on assessment on that date who got their DL already? I feel kinda paranoid right now haha because judging from the experiences of other members here, lucky ones received their DL already within just 40+ days of waiting.

UK Nurse Registration Full Application and Assessment stage before OSCE
Hello Nursemicky! May I know the date you were put on queue for assessment (date when all your documents appeared to be 'received' on the portal)? My queue date is 10th of July and until now I'm still waiting for my DL. Congratulations by the way on finally having your DL and God bless you on your OSCE. :)

Hi jocasanova! I indicated the date when I sent my assessment fee as my employment end date (which was earlier suggested in this thread) as I am still employed that time, actually up to this date lol. I sent my payment 6th of June, shipped all of my docs 18th of the same month. Yep, the info you provided on the documentary reqts MUST be the same with the filled up online requirements so as to avoid conflicts. And yep, you could hit the submit button anytime, whether before, during or after your mailing of docs to them. Anyway don't mention it. I know the struggle you are currently experiencing at this stage of the process (stressful one indeed) because I have been there and done that. Absolutely no worries :)

Hello everyone! I called my agency Omanfil early this morning to ask for updates regarding our deployment for Addenbrookes and they told me that there have been "backlogs" in the issuance of COS from their employers, which explains the delay of our deployment dates. As for Addenbrookes, they told me that I including 18 other applicants for the said employer, will be deployed probably by October (hopefully our DL's have arrived by then) instead of August, which they told us earlier. Our COS will be issued to us hopefully by August-September, and they said that their employers prefer to issue COS to their applicants once their OSCE invitations are already received. Hmmm all we could just do now is wait, trust Him and pray that everything will push through well.

I hope I get my COS sooner before that happens but thanks for the heads up! This waiting game is both challenging and crazy and it's a bit hard to chill haha but I'm trusting God that the waiting will soon be over. If I may know, is your friend also from Omanfil too? Wishing you both good luck and God speed as you both move along to take the OSCE. Thanks a lot and keep us posted :)

Wow that's good to hear! I am still anxious though because all my 5 docs have appeared to be received already but NMC didnt email me yet that my assessment stage has started. Is it possible though that it already started? I hope though that my COS will come by next month as what my agency told me. Whew

Finally, I found someone under the same agency and employer as mine. I was told to wait for my COS from Addenbrookes too, they haven't mentioned anything about the DL really but according to some people here, you have to have the DL first before the COS. The last time I called Omanfil, they told me to wait for my COS by August.

Probably the file sizes are too huge. I experienced the same, I tried to reduce the file sizes and it worked for me. Hope this helps

I was told though that my possible date of deployment would be August, but I thought resigning this July will be might as well risky too since I just got started with assessment phase. I have heard from here that it is indeed possible that we could leave without our DL's yet so long as the employer permits it and you have your COS already. For now, I think its best for me to just clarify with my agency about it, although they keep telling me that they usually don't advice their applicants when to resign. *sigh

Hi, did you already receive your decision letter from NMC? Because my dilemma is that I haven't resigned yet from work, and we should file our resignation a month before the effectivity. NMC by the way, just received all my documents last week and I think I am already up for assessment. My plan is to resign when I already received my DL and just wait for my COS and process my visa. Now, I am really not sure when is the BEST time to resign from my job. Any piece of advice, anyone? ðŸ˜
