NMC Test Online

Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

Hi @malakite,

I pretty much just studied the royal marsden book, but i think it's too long, although it did helped me to be familiarized with the UK setting. It's better to just study the all the standards from the nmc website especially medication management, and read about revalidation, safeguarding from scie. Also there's a practice test from the royal college of nursing website, a few of the questions I received were similar and, check out the NICE guidelines, as well. Some questions were basic med surg so it would also help to reread your old review materials. Dont memorize just make sure you understand the concepts. Best tip is to read all the topics that were posted here. I honestly didn't study the blueprint.

Hi guys,

I was wondering since I worked as a pdn for a year if I could use my employer as my reference even though she's not a nurse or if it's better to use my previous supervisors from the last hospital I worked in, almost 2 years ago?

I called NMC and I asked should I just reupload all my documents though they have a log that says they have my documents already. They told me it is okay as bumping documents won't hurt your application as they are just the same documents as before. I also asked if that would help my situation, they told me it "might" though without valid reason why. So I just reuploaded them though they have a copy.

This really is confusing. I'm scared that it might set back my application a week or two :(

As for your resignation, I think asking your agency for the perceived date of deployment is a good idea. Waiting for your DL seems risky since the employer may suddenly want a batch flown in or there are enough people with their DL ready to have a cohort deployed immediately. It can all go really fast, from what I've heard.

I was told though that my possible date of deployment would be August, but I thought resigning this July will be might as well risky too since I just got started with assessment phase. I have heard from here that it is indeed possible that we could leave without our DL's yet so long as the employer permits it and you have your COS already. For now, I think its best for me to just clarify with my agency about it, although they keep telling me that they usually don't advice their applicants when to resign. *sigh

No! I havent received any of the two. Should I worry? btw, how does it get sent to us? via mail or email? thank you so much

via e-mail. Were you also told that you could depart even without the DL yet? If that's the case then I guess you're just waiting for your COS..

Guys, I would like to clarify something. In the Overseas Registration: Supporting Declaration of Good Health, can we ask any doctor to sign? Even if he/she is just a resident physician as long as licensed? The street name, etc. is referring to the work institution and not the personal data of the physician right?

Another thing, does the email address on the referral forms and declaration of good health refer to the healthcare institution's email address? Or does it pertain to the referee's individual e mails?

Thanks a lot!!

@cloudstrife any doctor except anesth can sign even if he's still a resident. Yes, the street name is the hospital he is affiliated with. The email ads were those of individual referees and that of the doctor.

Hey Guys,

I am about to create my online account with Pearson Vue to schedule my CBT but every time I do so, Pearson Vue says my details doesn't match. Pearson can't recognize my Candidate Number.

Called NMC and was told all details are complete and accurate. Was advised to call Pearson. Dialed Pearson Vue and was told they cannot pull up my CID # and my full name from their end. Means, NMC haven't forwarded yet my ATT/details to Pearson Vue.

Been calling both Pearson/NMC for 1 hour and they're pointing fingers without resolution.

NMC got sick with me and I was told they are working with IT to resolve the glitch and they recognized that there's a bug on their system. Good thing I subscribed to SKYPE 400 Mins Landline Calls to UK for only €3.00.

Does anybody here encountering the same issue? Or have experienced the same issue? How did you resolve it?

I think it would be better to use your nursing supervisors in the hospital (I've used my previous hospital experience more than a year ago rather than the seniors in the clinic). I was told that the NMC will really verify your references thru phone and they will even ask if the title of the senior nurse that you have provided is higher than yours (example: Me - Nurse I, reference - Nurse II / III).

Hope that helps.

From my experience, I did not create an account with PearsonVue. Once I have registered in IREG-NMC and provided my qualifications, I've received an email from IREG_NMC that they will contact PearsonVue to make an account for me. In less than 2 hours (for others up to 48 hours), I received an email from PearsonVue stating that I have an account with a temporary password (which I can change upon logging-in). Also, PV also sent me my ATT. (I wonder if that makes sense XD)

I assume the telephone number also refers to the referees' contact number right? Thanks petrick! Thanks to whoever will answer ^_^

I replied on the wrong thread. Please disregard.

The issue was already resolved. Good thing. I have received an email from Pearson Vue that they have already verified my Candidate ID. This response came along with a username and password.

I am a bit apprehensive and nervous now about the upcoming CBT. I have booked for August 03. Roughly, I'll only have 13 days to review.

Can I ask help from anyone who just recently passed CBT to please share any review materials and tips??? All the help will be greatly appreciated. Let's talk in VIBER OR WHATSAPP (0917.723.7268). Love lots :D
