I got mine around 3-4 weeks after I got my DL. I got delayed because I have renewed my passport (after I got my DL) and CTN will need a copy of the new one. Plus, I have to present an updated passport to IOM (TB Testing Center for UK) during the test. I got my CoS on Sept 24 and applied for my visa on the 28th. Got approved on 1st of Oct. Deployment is around the 28th of Oct, so I'm starting to rummage through my wardrobe to find my fall/winter garments. XD Did you get your DL already?

Updates for those in CTN/IPAMS, I've met someone in the Visa Application Centre this morning and there are like 6 people who managed to get their CoS last week (excluding me). Were there any instances where the visa was denied? I am quite nervous. T____T Anyways, anyone who had taken the OSCE? Any tips?

Hey there! I am not really sure about the deployment. I've asked IPAMS and they told me that OSCE will on the end of October - November. lol I just finished my medicals and I think there were fellow CTNs as well yesterday. I was informed not to resign yet since they told me that I should resign once the visa is available.

I don't really agree on this one. You have to pass the CBT first before doing anything in the Assessment stage. I was informed that the forms were supposed to accomplished "after" the payments has been done. It has specific info "only" to the candidate. If you have read the NMC booklet, it says, "All relevant forms required are available to download from our website once the the applicant reaches the assessment stage, but not before." These forms will include dates of accomplishment. You may confirm on the fees that you need to pay for the transcripts and the official seal of your hospital, etc. So, if I were you, I would prepare for the CBT first then worry about the next stage later.

From the PDF that I've received and discussed with IPAMS (for like 20 minutes for clarification), this is what I can advise. Reference 1 - Should be someone who supervised you for at least 3 months * Must be in a higher position than you (i.e. if you are Nurse I, he should be at least Nurse II) Reference 2 - Should be someone who supervised you for at least 1 year *same note as above Based on your situation, I think you can use your previous employer as a reference for 1 & 2. No need to wait for the third month. Hope this helps. I received my DL more than a week ago and CTN/IPAMS request some more forms to be accomplished. Since it's a holiday today (in both UK and PH), they haven't replied to my accomplished forms.

IPAMS is very particular on this one. I was told that I can use a medical certificate or prescription paper with a logo / name / address / contact numbers of the hospital/clinic/facility where the GP is currently working. On the blank part of the certificate, the GP would have to write a short letter stating that he doesn't have an official stamp. The GP would have to mention that the candidate is in good health, eligible to work in the UK and is recommended for registration. He will then have to provide his Full name, license number and department. I followed this thoroughly as I do not want any of my documents be returned. Courier fees are so expensive. (Fellow IPAMS candidates, I believe we were given a PDF with thorough explanation of the instructions for the Assessment part. XD) - My Declaration of Good Health also has a dry seal of our hospital. XD I believe my email is floating around here. Feel free to PM me for questions.
