NMC Test Online

Published

Anybody here who took the Pearsons Vue NMC exam? How was it? TY!

Specializes in ER, Med-Surg, OB.

To clarify, the ATT (Authorization to Test) of CBT is only valid for 6 months upon registration (some people have 1 year as i read along the thread). As for the CBT validity, it is valid for 2 years. (I don't think you are going to waste 2 years just to process your NMC XD)

@dodoy - slap him hard, he doesn't know what he's talking about. XD

Anyways, any CTN peeps who are in the waiting game as me?

Im under CTN but still, have to take CBT exam.

Specializes in Renal/Hemodialysis.

CTN represent! Same situation with Malakite though. But hey, they're not the one I mentioned on my previous post about the "CBT expiration"

Hard time checking the links in the blueprint. Im doing the manual typing of the website since the links are unclickable.

I'm beginning to wonder what agency that ignoramus might have belonged to. I'd be afraid to let someone like that handle my employment prospects and *gasp* my papers. :o

Many of the broken links actually are just not arranged right, which is why copy-pasting or clicking them directly doesn't work. I got many of them to work by copying the link, pasting it in the address bar, then looking for the error in the link provided--usually a space, missed hyphens, incorrect spelling, etc. Actually, only a few of the links are truly dead.

It is severely time-consuming, however, and many of the links get repeated throughout the blueprint.

@Kuro did you save the links in a notepad? do you mind sharing it with us the working links? If not, its ok glad to know that there are few broken links in the blue print. After reading the royal marsden planning to read the blueprint.

Hey all - I am writing the CBT tomorrow and am finding myself super anxious. I'm either way over prepared or its just a crap shoot and gonna be so random that revising is a waste of time lol. Anyway, just wondering if theres actually a clear answer to the question of WHAT IS THE PASSING GRADE TO THIS EXAM?! I know about the critical questions, but I mean in general, is there not a certain percentage we have to reach? Its so damn vague and unclear. So frustrating already and the process hasn't really even began.

Hi guys! Just received this email from NMC

Your application for registration with the NMC has been reviewed. We are pleased to inform you that you can now proceed to the next stage of the application process.

Please login to the portal to download your decision letter. You may also contact the University of Northampton to arrange your Part 2 – Test of competency.

I'm glad your patience paid off. I'm hoping to receive that e-mail too. Congratulations!

I heard from a friend that the passing rate is 60%. just a hearsay though. Get a good rest, relax and pray. Good luck!

Hi! i never had the chance to click and view every link. it would be better if you use a PC to copy and paste the url on a browser (i used google chrome). whenever i see a downloadable file(usually in pdf) i download them and transfer to my reading device (ipad) so that i can read them when i have time. Some of the links have the same content/topic and even the same downloadable file. Take the links lightly since these really are overwhelming and repetitive. :)

Hi! Just want to share that I got my decision letter last July 7 and it was extra special since it was also my birthday. Anyway, It took exactly 10 weeks for me to receive the DL and thank God, I didn't encounter any problem of missing documents or improper filling up of forms during the waiting time. Just be patient guys, I am sure that you'll also get yours soon!

By the way, I am from CTN-IPAMS and from what I heard, there are only 4 applicants who just got their DL as of this moment. The earliest possible date of deployment according to the agent is September.

is 10 weeks after they received all your documents? Congratulations!!!
