  1. Hi Ruby! I just sent the blueprint as an attachment to that hotmail account and the subject is NMC OSCE blueprint! Hope it helps : )
  2. Hey there fellow Canadian! I'm scheduled to take my OSCE Feb 12th. Feeling fine about the skills aspects, but I guess am just nervous overall (understandably when theres 2000$ on the line) and wondering if there was anything that surprised you in the exam? Or anything done differently in the UK than Canada that you think is particularly huge to be aware of? (obviously all MARs etc is different) Would really appreciate if you could email me! [email protected]
  3. Hey Danielle! I'm a Canadian nurse booked for Feb 12th. Starting to get anxious about it! Would you be interested in connecting via email or facebook to talk through it a bit?
  4. How did you find it went?? After you had finished did you think you had passed or were you still unsure? And how strict were they about the dress code? I know they say black shoes, but I mean, I'm not going to go out and buy a new pair of shoes just for this one exam!
  5. Oh gosh... I clearly do not know how to maneuvre this website. I'm a Canadian nurse with a British partner, and currently waiting for all of my documents to be fully 'assessed' and get the go ahead for my OSCE. I'm starting to stress pretty badly about the OSCE (just where it is obviously so much money - as you all clearly know and feel my pain). I feel quite confident in my skills, but worry about getting caught up on something small that might be overlooked. I'm wondering if any of you lovely people who have taken the OSCE (or are about to take it) would be willing to email me (I can't PM on here it seems) and give me any pointers, or things they found surprising about the exam, or what caught them off guard type of thing. I would really appreciate the help, I feel like at this point my relationship really needs some good news from the NMC haha. My email is [email protected] - if you could put the subject as NMC OSCE prep (so I know it isn't spam). Hope to hear from someone soon!! Thanks and GOOD LUCK to everyone writing in the next few weeks - I know there are a few of you : )
  6. Well done!!! What a relief that must be! Congrats.
  7. Good luck good luck good luck!!! Let us know how you make out : )
  8. GOOD LUCK!!!!!! (I'm a Canadian nurse too, still waiting for my documents to be fully assessed though, very anxious to get this show on the road!)
  9. Hey everyone - question about the forms to send in. The ones to do with my registration: Since graduating nursing school, I have worked in 4 different provinces in Canada (each one has its own registration body). Does that mean I have to get my registration verification forms done from EVERY province I have ever worked in??!?! I am only active and practicing in ONE right now (and its only been this ONE province for the past 2-3 years), the other provinces I am no longer registered in, but its just that i HAVE BEEN registered there in the past. What do we think on this one?
  10. Hey all - I am writing the CBT tomorrow and am finding myself super anxious. I'm either way over prepared or its just a crap shoot and gonna be so random that revising is a waste of time lol. Anyway, just wondering if theres actually a clear answer to the question of WHAT IS THE PASSING GRADE TO THIS EXAM?! I know about the critical questions, but I mean in general, is there not a certain percentage we have to reach? Its so damn vague and unclear. So frustrating already and the process hasn't really even began.
  11. Just some clarification.... are you saying that after you pass your CBT, all those required docs (passport, birth certificate, school transcript, verification of registration, 2 references...) get uploaded online? I thought original copies were meant to be sent in. OR is it just the passport copy, birth certif, BScN degree that can be uploaded, but things from employers and governing bodies need to be originals sent in the mail to NMC? Thanks so much!!
  12. I am feeling SO overwhelmed right now. I've been following this thread for a while, and write my CBT in two weeks. Im feeling OK about the exam, but whats really stressing me is all the documents that I will have to send once I pass. I read in their application guideline that "All of the relevant forms required are available to download from our website" (aka the forms you have to send to employers, registration bodies in your home country etc to be then sent to the NMC). But I can't find them anywhere?? Are they only available once I've passed the CBT? I want to send them out NOW, as it takes people forever to fill those things out and send them along to NMC, so that by the time they do send them I'll have (hopefully) already passed the exam. HELP? Where can I find these forms? Thank you thank you thank you to all you wonderfully helpful people out there!
