Hello! I've been accepted into PSON AAS Program beginning Fall 2017 and its odd not to find any of my fellow classmates on this site :unsure:It would be nice to get familiar with one another before the program begins & update one another on how we are coming along in preparation of the program. Maybe even share some information from other threads as far as increasing our success in the program! The competition is finally over and we are officially a family Well, hope everyone enjoys their day and I'm excited to hear from my soon to be fellow classmates! Congratulations

Hi,

Does the school provide the HESI exam codes for registration? I can only find the codes from February of 2017 on their website.

@Paris614 thank you. I'm just a little worried though, their website says 3.25 cumulative GPA, unfortunately mine is 3.03 for now, (chemistry was difficult for me) but I will be okay after I take all the other classes. Do you think that will be a problem? Miss Gallo said no but I want to hear from someone else. I've volunteer work as well, BLS certified and 3 really good recommendations. I plan to submit my application by end of month. thanks for all your help, Happy New Year's to you.

They are very open-minded when it comes to accepting which is why I think they have many factors included in the application process. They definitely don't disqualify you for a slight imperfection. They look at your overall package! Good Luck!

Hey guys! I am currently looking to apply to apply for the AAS program and I am scheduled for an info session for 2018. I wanted to apply because regardless of being so competitive, the program still seems doable. With most CUNY nursing programs I feel like I'm jumping through a bunch of hoops, which is why I like this program because I feel it is more straightforward. My only concern is the cost. My goal is to receive my BSN, but I first have to do the AAS program because I'm not a nurse, and this would also be my first degree. But with doing this program I would be $90,000 or more in debt. Does anyone have any tips or advice, it would be helpful thank you. (I'm currently taking pre-requisites at BMCC)

Has anyone got accepted yet for the fall 2018 this time the school is using nursingcas. How long do they take to respond to you with their final decision whether you accepted or not This is my first time applying with them

Hi! I want to enroll ASS program at PSON . What should i do? I took my pre-reqs at QCC and i have an overall 3.53. What do you think about my GPA? I know its very compitive to get in the program, but still i hope i can make it. Can you give me any advice how can i prepare for HESI A2 exam?

@Kulsuma123 you should apply through nursingcas because its a long process the deadline is April 1 I'm schedule to take the HESI exam by the end of this month I hope I get in. As far as the hesi you need to focus on reading compreshension, math and biology. you should buy the hesi admission assessment book. The school takes everything into consideration not just your GPA and hesi score your entire portfolio.

Hi! I'm applying for Fall too and the NursingCAS app is super long, but I didn't see it listed anywhere that we are required to take the HESI exam? I probably just missed it, but do you recall whee you saw that it's required? have to take it anyway for another school application, but had no idea PSON required it as well.

@tinyspoons you can go to the program material section on the nursing cas where it states that you must take the HESI and score 80 reading comprehension, math and biology, Or you can just go to the school website it also it stated there. They look at everything not just the hesi score and gpa. The nursingcas is very long it's because they ask for a lot it best to start on it early than later you have until April 1 to apply.
