Hi everyone. Does anyone know how one should go about applying for the State board in New Mexico? After the school sends the official transcript and after completing the fingerprinting requirements, how long will it take before one could be given an ATT? Thanks and have a nice day!
Hello everyone,
Sorry I was confused with the requirements for Non-US graduates:
-- 07-01-2006, 08:57 PMmaybe the certificate of graduation eligibility is waived for NON -US GRADUATES.
- 07-13-2006, 07:26 AMyes. you can get eligible in less than a month. requirements are ur TOR, and RLE. then the letter of certificate of eligibility from ur school. fingerprint card, the notarized forms.
- 08-15-2006, 06:34 PM2. for non-US school graduates, no NM BON forms are to be filled out by the school. The school sends only a certified copy of the TOR (with RLE hours) in a sealed envelope. Schools usually include a cover letter addressed to the BON.
OK, thanks again KIKO and grace diwa. The NM BON website has been updated perhaps the certificate of eligibility was a requirement before.
to anyone who had the experience of endorsing his/her NM license to california or any state, can you please share us how was it? how long did it take you to endorse your NM license?bless you all generous people sharing your experiences!
I understand from this forum that CA BRN will not issue a license (even thru endorsement) if applicant has no US SSN. Applicant will have an SSN when he obtains a legitimate employment in the US. Once he gets an SSN, he can be issued a license by the CA BRN.
you can also get more info on CA BRN's requirements by reading the application form for RN licensure by endorsement found in the website of CA BRN.

CA will issue a temporary license, provided that you have a license in another state and are endorsing. They will not issue you the permanent license without a SSN#.
Hi. I finally decided to apply to NM BON too because I was told that processing is quicker. My school mailed in my TOR mid-July but when I wrote NM BON, they told me that I needed to request for my RLE ---but then I could already submit my fingerprint cards and application form and also register with Pearson Vue too---to which I already did last week. All the requirements were in and I even checked with my school. I sent the NM BON an e-mail for the status of my application but I know that it takes some time before they get to reply. Does anyone know how long it takes before the fingerprint and background check gets done? How long do they process papers before an ATT is issued? I was just concerned that I might have registered with Pearson Vue too soon (although they sent me an e-mail to do so). Any helpful insight or opinion on this? Thanks!

you'll be fine. just give it a couple of weeks more and you will receive your ATT thru email (if you gave the same email add to the BON and to pearson vue).
if no ATT arrives after 2 weeks, you can either call or send an email to pearson vue and you will receive your ATT (valid for 90 days). in the meantime, you can hit those books and prepare for d-day.
goodluck!

okay thanks for the info but isn't quite dangerous to apply for such at this time since they aren't registered in POEA yet...i mean just for security purposes on our side so as not for us to be exploited..anyway, did they also mentioned how long does NM state processes petition for nurses because as far as we all know they aren't as popular as CA, NY, or FL?again, goodluck to you and God Bless!!
