New Mexico Licensure Question

Published

Hi everyone. Does anyone know how one should go about applying for the State board in New Mexico? After the school sends the official transcript and after completing the fingerprinting requirements, how long will it take before one could be given an ATT? Thanks and have a nice day!

I took my exam yesterday. and it's true it was really hard.. my exam results wasn't available yet according to pearson. I checked my name under the license verification of NM but my name wasn't there. does this mean that i failed??

pls someone enlighten me..

I am so worried..

Maybe, they havent updated their website yet. As I can see, they have the results for April 7 but no new license for April 8 yet. Just hang in there!!!Keep on praying...wish you luck!!!:nuke:

There is no reciprocity when it comes to license it is only the NLEX which has reciprocity. What you are doing is endorsing if issued a license and you do not have to work in state before hand but must meet new BON/BRN requirements for foreign trained nurse but if a state that requires SSN then I do not think they will issue you with a license until you provide SSN once in the US with a valid work visa

You need to reapply to the BON first, just like you did when you first applied. They are going to need to approve you once again to sit for the exam.

Best of luck to you.

*Edit* wrong thread.

hi, i would just like to ask if one has to pass NLE first before she can apply for licensure in NM?

thanks.

It is not required. :-)

Does this mean that one has to sit the nclex again? Or would a request to the original state (that requires the SSN) to simply forward a "pass" result of the nclex to the new endorsing state suffice?

What should you do if the original registration records have already expired and have been shredded (CA holds on to records for only 3 years)?

Do other states even process applications for licensure (by exam) from RNs with pending licensure applications to other states that require the SSN? Their application for licensure IS considered "pending", (i.e., RN has already passed the NCLEX but cannot be licensed for lack of SSN) right?
