  1. I agree with Suzannne4, just received my IELTS results today and found out I passed!!!I used scottsenglish online for a month. I believe the techniques were really helpful ...good luck !!!
  2. i have emailed az bon about my interest in endorsing to them. they replied and told me that i just need to put my nm license in inactive status since i cannot hold 2 compact licenses at the same time. here is a part of her email. "the citizenship requirement is a bit different for a foreign nurse educated and currently residing abroad. we can go ahead and issue you a license if you are residing abroad. however, the "lawful presence" documentation will be required for continued licensure at the time you take "residency" in the u.s." so it means i can still endorse to az, right?they will issue license to me and my proof of citizenhip will be given to them once i am already in us. for the mean time, i will just send my birth certificate and passport . however, i do not know the process on how to change my status at nm from active to inactive. isn't it that once you endorse to another state as az, it will automatically put my nm license into an inactive status? or is there still another process to do that??? please help me with this...just sooo glad that i can still endorse to az.
  3. Thanks for the reply Suzanne4. I guess, i need to look for another state....too bad I really want to stay with my sister in Phoenix.....
  4. hi there! Im planning to endorse to AZ...I have an active NM license. I'll be taking Ielts next week and if I'll pass I'll apply for the VSC. My question is regards the new policy of AZ regarding proof of citizenship. I am from the Philippines, do not have any visa for US but I really want to work in AZ. Does it mean im not qualified for their licensure by endorsement? I do not know where I fall under their alien or non- immigrant category. Please help!!! If ever, I am still eligible to apply for endorsement, what proof of nationality shall I include in my application???I d not have any of those mentioned in List A and B!!Will my Birth certificate and passport be enough to prove Im a Filipino citizen???Sorry but i may be asking stupid questions here but I really am lost with this new policy. Could you please enlighten me with this....the new rule was implemented starting Jan 2008...
  5. Im in the same boat....!!!I have graduated 2 years ago...im part of the June 2006 batch. Since im a second courser, i've decided to finish the retake first last June 2007. Well, I thought it was better so my employers will not question my competence and integrity. I've also tried to finish the other exams first. However, I've started to apply after the retake...lucky for me I already have 2 volunteer work but still no permanent job. I know these volunteer jobs will not count as my experience but at least its helping me get acquainted with the real work scenario!!! Im starting to get depressed too....even thinking of grabbing the Saudi opportunity for inexperienced nurses just so to gain REAL EMPLOYMENT!!Im just a little hesitant to go alone...dont know anyone from there!!!
  6. Maybe, they havent updated their website yet. As I can see, they have the results for April 7 but no new license for April 8 yet. Just hang in there!!!Keep on praying...wish you luck!!!:nuke:
  7. I've heard of LSTI. I think they have ACLS course too and Im interested. Anyone here who knows the contact details of Life savers Technical Institute somewhere in QC?
  8. Nurse_June, I'm also a June 2006 passer but luckily I've passed the retake in June 2007. I have asked that question with the officer in charge when I filed for the retake, I told him on what will be the consequences if I would not pass the retake for test 3 and 5, he said if that's the case, then I can surrender my license anytime after the retake, and take the whole exam again. I wanted to talk to a BON that time, but he said there's no way I can talk to them. I understood from the CGFNS side that once you opted to retake and failed, youre no longer qualified for VSC but you're license is good here in the PHIL and other countries not requiring VSC. However, PRC personnel say otherwise that time. They said I can only retake test 3 and test 5 ONCE but can surrender my license ANYTIME to take the whole exam again. Now, it seems that you cannot surrender you're license anymore and can never be eligible for VSC?
  9. What about the L1 visa? Is it possible for a foreign educated like me to go to US with that VIsa? i hold a NM license. they say the sponsor is in Texas....could you please enlighten me with this? I would want to go there but with retrogression, I know it will take me 5 or more years. my idea is to grab any visa available say...a working visa or this L1 visa and then before it expires, to adjust for a new status while I'm there and hopefully in two year's time ( this is the duration of the contract with L1 visa ) I can already find an employer to sponsor me for the immigrant visa. I haven't signed with any agencies and just trying to weigh things and consequences.
  10. I prioritize US since my sister is there while i have no relatives in Canada. That is the main reason why i took NCLEX first before considering CANADA. I know its hard to migrate in a country where you basically do not know anyone...but I am willing to take the risk to practice my chosen profession. I have high regards for canadians and I believe that quality healthcare should be equally given to everyone regardless of race. I do know your countrymen deserves such healthcare that I am willing to render.
  11. If ever I was authorized by a regulatory body to write the exam, do I have to pay another fee for the exam???or is it included with the payment for evaluation??If I need to pay another fee, how much would that be???And if I will write the exam in Vancouver, Would i be 100%guaranteed to be given a visa or i need to apply as a tourist on my own? Sorry for too much questions but im really interested in working in Canada. I recently passed NCLEx but with retrogression, I think it would be better to go find an experience in another country first since its hard to find a job here in the Philippines
  12. hello...just want to ask, if ever you will be permited to take their exam, where do i take it? Do I need to go there to take the exam? I am from the Philippines.......
  13. how many questions you had on your exam? 75! what did you use as a review material? i used saunders 3rd edition and mosby's pda enrolled in a review center or home study? self reviewed for 1 month percentage of topics youre very familiar with on the actual nclex questions? topics...about 80%. pharma questions were not so hard...i had a difficult time with the prioritization thing. i only had 1 delegation question. what did you feel after you finish your exam? i wanted more questions coz i really am not sure of my answers...i used elimination process on difficult questions!!!but at the same time i was relieved it was over!!!kinda mixed feelings....
