  1. You can already apply for a student visa with just your offer letter. You better do it sooner than later because medicals take time, and you only have roughly a month, they typically recommend at least 8 weeks for a student's visa. I suggest you compile all your needed documents and apply asap. No need to wait for eCoe.
  2. Mercy Health has a very strict selection criteria. They only have 6 slots, so they select the best of their applicants (the ones with the longest work experience).
  3. Your IELTS has to be valid by the end of the BP, I suggest re-sit it as to avoid any delays in the future.
  4. When is the exact date of commencement of Latrobe's May intake?
  5. Where did you study nursing? For them, initial registration usually means registration where you completed your nursing education.
  6. ^ You do know that the IELTS exam is judged by international standards following strict guidelines. The fact that his reading and listening scores are near perfect doesn't mean it's easier where he took it. The questionnaire and the answer key remains the same anywhere the test is taken.
  7. CVS is Credentials Verification Services. Its done by CGFNS, they basically evaluate your licence, registration, education and credentials and then send it to New York board of nursing. It usually takes around 6 months for them to do their verification. If the BON is satisfied with it,along with your mandatory training, you'll get an eligibility to test, then you register with Pearson Vue to sit NCLEX (which is also offered in Sydney BTW). Re: Lack of hours, you basically have to wait for your CVS to be complete as each set of credentials are assessed on case to case basis.
  8. ^ No, it simply states the fact that you have not taken the CGFNS exam, and I know of only 2 states that require that exam. Majority of the states only have CES as their requirement. Once they (BON) sees your CES report, they evaluate it and see if it is comparable to US education. I would wait about two weeks and after that, maybe follow up with an email.
  9. I remember reading something about waiving the x-ray for the medicals If they're pregnant, and being pregnant doesn't pose a risk to other people so she shouldn't have a problem. Although she might want to limit exposure to viruses/hospital exposure during BP early on in her pregnancy right?
  10. So what are the other schools and when do they commence? AAON - January- 11K AUD? Is this CRICOS certified?
  11. OK. First step you have to do is fill out the application form from California Board of Nursing's website: Board of Registered Nursing - Licensure by Examination You're also gonna have to complete the fingerprint card, I'm not sure who does it in India. Possibly the place where you obtain a police clearance. After you get the assessment, (up to 6 months), CA BON will give you an Authorization to Test - a test permit basically. You need this before you will be able to schedule a date for your NCLEX exam. This ATT has an expiration date also. Good luck!
  12. Lithotomy! I thought I told you to take it one step at a time! Now you're already ahead of me by a hundred steps! OK just send us $$ when you get a job so we can also apply for BP. Everybody happy!
  13. ^Small paper clips for related documents (Transcript and Diploma) and then a big paper clip to hold everything together.
  14. I wonder what happened to narscathy, she hasn't posted in 5 days. I hope she wasn't hurt in the airbase! Narscathy are you OK? Hope you are safe!
