New Mexico Licensure Question

Hi everyone. Does anyone know how one should go about applying for the State board in New Mexico? After the school sends the official transcript and after completing the fingerprinting requirements, how long will it take before one could be given an ATT? Thanks and have a nice day!

i emailed ms. vidaurri earlier and this was her reply:

I have not yet begun the January approvals but I will notify you when I have information for you concerning your file. Thank you.

btw, i sent my application jan. 22.

hello everyone...im having a hard time finding a way to pay for the Dept. of public safety's 31 $....i dont have a dollar account....anyone with the same dilemma? need help..please...dont know how to pay..i was planning to submit my application this week...thans in advance...

you can go to Banco De Oro and ask them on how u can purchase a bank draft,they issue a demand darft on clients with peso account-just open an account with them.

Help please...

On the NM application form, there is the declaration of primary state of residence is mandatory for licensure.

Should one write there their permanent address here in Manila?

And it also says there that upon licensure in NM, I intened to practice in the state (s) of: __________

Should one fill it out & say that one intends to practice in CA?

Paragraph 1: Yes, if that's where you live presently/permanent home address.

Paragraph 2: Yes, if that's where you intend to practice.

I wrote NM BON several weeks ago. The officer said SSN is required to renew RN License.

so basically, I can't renew my NM license if I'm not in NM or any state of the US for that matter, right?

do you think NM will reject your initial/renewal if you don't have an intention to work there?

CA will issue a temporary license, provided that you have a license in another state and are endorsing. They will not issue you the permanent license without a SSN#.

I just read some of the posts way back and about this CA application, what if I don't have a license from another state, what I passed is for CA NCLEX, then what kind of license will they issue me? How can I go and work there without a permanent license?

That's what I've been thinking too...

Will the application be delayed or rejected because of that?

there is no reason that they will rject you if you have no intention of working in that state, many people have numerous BON licences doesn't mean that they work in all states. I have 2 licences, AZ and NY and will keep both up to date but doesn't mean I will work in NY as my job is in AZ

Interesting. May I know who provided you with this info?

I also wrote to NM BON sometime this March 2007 and Ms. Vidaurri replied to me through email that you can have your license renewed even if you don't have SSN especially in the case of foreign nurses(because you still can't have one and you really don't have one), provided that you meet the CE requirements for renewal. You just provide them SSN as soon as you can.

With all these, it seems that NM BON is the most "user-friendly" BON for international nurses.

In my humblest opinion, I believe they won't provided that you comply with their requirements for renewal.
