New LPN students??

I start on the 26th. Orientation on the 12th. I'm such a control freak though as I'm now already plotting my bridge strategy. I need one more science course which of course is never offered as a weekend option.

Congrats! I will say this, I'm finishing a 11 month program here in August and yes it is VERY challenging b/c they cram so much crap into these short semesters makes it somewhat difficult. I recommend not working very much if not at all. Just study in all your spare time. You can do it. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice, I really appreciate it. I will unfortunately have to work, because I need medical insurance. But I will be working part-time only.

hey all!! i just got my lpn acceptance letter a few weeks ago and i start in september!! i'm so excited , but a little nervous . anyone else out there starting an lpn program soon??

Here's another soon-to-be newbie. I attend orientation June 19th and begin classes June 30th. Clinicals begin in August. Excited and a bit nervous about just how much my brain can take in at my age...I'm 46. I'm expected to graduate in June 2009 with my 4 children and dear hubby cheering and thanking God in the audience.

I must add that our 12 y.o. son is looking forward to checking out mom's textbooks. He's already asking if I can take him to a hospital to observe an operation...I told him I'd try to work something out.

I too just recieved my letter on June 12th. My orientation date is June 24th and classes begins August 27th. Im so excited and i just cant hide, I'm about to loose control and i think i like it.

I got my acceptance letter a little bit before you and also start on August 25! We're also both in CA. What school are you going to?

I am going to Antelope Valley Community College!!!! I cannot wait to start!!!! I just got my physical now I have to get my shot record from my high school & get blood work done and get my Criminal Background check done so I can register for classes!!!! I am stressing trying to get everything done on time!!!! What school are you going to? sorry about the long post!!!!LOL!!!!

congrats to all!!! i begin classes at samaritan school of nursing aug. 25. hoping all goes well. quit my day job already. scared but looking forward to a career change and more time with my family - 2 sons, hubby, and parents- full house!!! :) wish me luck too please, i need it!!!
