new jersey no longer requires the cgfns exam, for initial licensure or endorsement.
you will need to get a ces, in place of that requirement. same as what illinois did.
cgfns processes the ces. www.cgfns.org.
Hello to all! Since NJ has made some changes in their requirements for foreign nurse grads, will they be changing the application packet? I've checked their website and the application for licensure by examination is still the same. If you know of a new application packet, please please forward me the site! I have also e-mailed staff at the NJ BON and they haven't replied yet. If they do, I will post their reply here. THanks!!

Hi, I just went trough NJ processing. I got my ATT in about 4 weeks including a week off when they were closed/ I think is pretty good compare with NY, who is taking 14 weeks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For international nurses: NJ and CGFNS did not get to agreement yet about the necessary documents so I had call them 100 times to make sure everything is fine. If you have problems speak to Sylvia in CGFNS , she knows what NJ requires.
yes
a copy of your license from the country where you acquired your education must be on file with the board of nursing before you are eligible to take the test.
Hi! I just received a message from NJ BON. The application form is currently the same, but they will make minor changes in the future. We can still use what they have online now. The CES type of report to ask for is the "Full Education Course-by-Course Report". TOEFL is required also. I don't know what type though, TOEFL-ibt or TOEFL-cbt. I wonder if IELTS will be acceptable? I have yet to ask...

hello i am also interested to apply in new jersey. good thing you told us about what type of ces is required because i was planning to ask you guys that. :trout: what is the processing time for ces? so i can plan my study time already. how many days will new jersey give you to take their nclex exam? and regarding the post secondary school, i am a 2nd courser do i also write my 1st degree's school? i have a degree in commerce. thanks alot. hope we can help each other, by the way, try emailing gregoria marerro (n-z) (973) 504-6506, e-mail: [email protected], she was the one who emailed back. i also emailed the other one but she didn't reply.
Hi bonsai. It was actually Ms. Gregoria Marrero who e-mailed me the instructions. I don't know the time span for the CES. This will probably depend on whether your school can provide your credentials quickly. If they are slow, then the processing will also be slow. I think you should include your first course in the application, especially if this is reflected in your transcript of records of your nursing school. Sorry if I can't be any more helpful, but I will post more info here when I get it. Hope you do the same! Thanks!
