NCLEX results of October 18, 2007
Hello moderators and fellow members... Good news! I received my results yesterday, January 9 and I passed! For all those still waiting, just be patient, because your results will some soon. It was delayed because of the Christmas rush. My letter was actually sitting in the post office since December 2007, but wasn't delivered until January. Thanks for the advice and the support!

NCLEX results of October 18, 2007
Thanks Suzanne... when I called CA BRN they said that they sent the letter on November 8, 2007. So I've been waiting close to 5 weeks. I'll take your advice and call again next year if my letter hasn't arrived yet. Merry Christmas!

Thanks.. this is somewhat reassuring... I believe that some of the delay may be caused by all the Christmas cards and letters and packages and things.. I just hope I get my results by Christmas..

NCLEX results of October 18, 2007
Hello there! I need information about the results of the NCLEX. I took the NCLEX-RN at Manila on October 18, 2007 and I have not yet received my results. It has been almost 8 weeks and most of the people I know who took the test on the same date already have their results. I called the California BRN and they said they sent the letter already but it has not arrived yet. They will not tell me whether I passed or not. Are there any other RNs who took the exam on October 18, 2007 and have yet to receive their results too? If the letter got lost along the way, will they send me another one? I've been to the post office and spoke with my mailman, but he says he didn't receive anything from the CA-BRN yet. I feel like I've exhausted all my options. I hope the moderators can give me advice. Does this happen often? Should I call the CA-BRN again? I also emailed them but I know it may take some time for them to reply. Thanks!

Fastest state to apply for NCLEX
hi bonsai... you mentioned that your friends, who are june 2006 nle passers, now have their eligibility to test from nm bon. did they process the application by themselves, or did a review center or agency help them? my friends are also considering taking that route. please enlighten me on how long it took them. also, is it possible to endorse to any other state once you are licensed in nm? thanks...

re: credential evaluation service
I'm not sure if this is accurate, but as I understand it, there is another form with CES that you have to send to PRC to validate your license. The certificate of passing or board rating doesn't mean you are licensed yet. It just means you passed the NLE. So if there is no license number issued, PRC has nothing to validate yet. And since the leakage issue hasn't been resolved yet, PRC can't validate the exam yet either. Your CES might take longer than expected. This is the info I get from reading all the other threads. Please feel free to correct me if I am wrong?? Thanks, and goodluck with your application.

What kind of TOEFL to take?
I think the TOEFL-iBT encompassess all required areas. They are phasing out the CBT and PBT because we have IBT available now in the Philippines. It states in the Visa Screen that you can have TOEFL-iBT. The others (PBT and CBT) require TWE and TSE I think. Check the CGFNS website to be sure. They have the VisaScreen Bulletin you can download for free.

St. Barnabas Med Center
Hello, I am also from manila (a fresh grad) and I am interested in working for one of the SBHCS hospitals. May I ask what agency you used, or if you were directly hired? I am currently processing my eligibility for nclex. I would be interested in knowing what steps you took in attaining a place at SBHCS. A friend of mine has a mom who works in the heart transplant OR, and she said that direct hiring is possible, as long as we have passed all the required exams. I hope you can shed some light on my inquiry. It would be very helpful to know what to do next. Thanks :nuke:

NJ Licensing for graduates of other countries
hi stickadoraRN. NJ needs the CES. By the way, what batch are you a graduate of? When did you take the NLE? Thanks

to declare or not to declare my "license"
I am also waiting for the issue to resolve so I can move on with my application to NJ, which requires the CES, who in return asks if I have a current license. If not, I am asked to provide a written explanation. Let's hope this problem passes quickly so our applications can be processed as soon as possible.

New Jersey
Hi! I e-mailed Ms. Gregoria Marrero at NJ BON, and she advised the full education course by course report.

Hi bonsai. It was actually Ms. Gregoria Marrero who e-mailed me the instructions. I don't know the time span for the CES. This will probably depend on whether your school can provide your credentials quickly. If they are slow, then the processing will also be slow. I think you should include your first course in the application, especially if this is reflected in your transcript of records of your nursing school. Sorry if I can't be any more helpful, but I will post more info here when I get it. Hope you do the same! Thanks!

Hi! I just received a message from NJ BON. The application form is currently the same, but they will make minor changes in the future. We can still use what they have online now. The CES type of report to ask for is the "Full Education Course-by-Course Report". TOEFL is required also. I don't know what type though, TOEFL-ibt or TOEFL-cbt. I wonder if IELTS will be acceptable? I have yet to ask...

New Jersey
Hello to all! Since NJ has made some changes in their requirements for foreign nurse grads, will they be changing the application packet? I've checked their website and the application for licensure by examination is still the same. If you know of a new application packet, please please forward me the site! I have also e-mailed staff at the NJ BON and they haven't replied yet. If they do, I will post their reply here. THanks!!

Do you mean local hospitals? We can't apply yet if we haven't taken our oaths...
