new jersey no longer requires the cgfns exam, for initial licensure or endorsement.

you will need to get a ces, in place of that requirement. same as what illinois did.

cgfns processes the ces. www.cgfns.org.

CGFNS will validate your transcripts and all held licenses (CES - hence, Credential Evaluation Service) and gives it to the NJ BON then NJ BON will approve your application base on the CES report given by CGFNS and then the NJ BON will make you eligible to sit for the NCLEX.

All State BONs will need to validate your transcripts to make sure that your nursing education is comparable to the U.S.

Some State BON do it on their own (e.g. CA, VT, NM) while some let a 3rd party do it for them (CGFNS - CES).

There is no new application application packet. As I said previously, they have not updated it yet. This is really no issue. You can use the old ones. They already know the new req'ts anyway.

Don't forget about the TOEFL req't as well. Just in case you missed it.

In a nutshell (just for you):

1) Apply for CES through CGFNS (of course, indicate NJ BON as recepient)

2) Apply for NJ BON application packet

3) Give passing TOEFL results to NJ BON

All other details, I'll leave it up to you as your homework. ;)

EVERYTHING is in their websites anyway and you can contact both the CGFNS and NJ BON for additional queries.

I want to ask regarding CES

because in NGFNS website there

were two types of CES

1. HEALTHCARE PROFESSIONAL SCIENCE COURSE BY COURSE REPORT

2. FULL EDUCATION COURSE BY COURSE REPORT

which among thse two are applicable

for NJ? and after all the CES thats the

only time i can apply on NJ BON application paclet right?

hi! i'm planning to go thru the NJ route as well. I graduated and licensed in the Philippines but my license has expired last 2002 and i haven't renewed it yet as i'm here in the UK working since 2001. Do the NJ BON requires an updated license or i can just send them the copy of my expired license? As much as possible i don't want to go thru the renewal process as it is a pain in the %*& especially in our country.

Hi. Best way is to contact NJ BON directly and ask them about your case. A poster gave the contacts for the e-mail add. located in this thread.

I have emailed them twice using 2 different email adds posted here but it was undeliverable saying the email add doesnt exist and i'm quite sure i have the correct one as i copied and pasted it. Does anybody have any other email adds i can contact?

Go to the website for the NJ BON, they are located there.

I would be more concerned with getting the CES completed, NJ does require that. You do not need a current license from the Philippines to be licensed in NJ.

hi, another question:

you need to take the TOEFL and CES before they allow you to sit for their NCLEX? or you can take the TOEFL after the Nclex? thanks

I understand that TOEFL is part of the eligibility requirements for foreign graduates. But, you can have a better answer straight from the BON (and if ok with you, please share to us here the answer).

That is hat you should do as the BON will not do one thing with your application until they receive that.
