The answer can vary greatly depending on the location of your new job and the facility you intend to work at. Some places pay more of differential for night shift than others.
Good luck on your new career!

We need more information....it could be anywhere from 15$/hr to 50$hr depending on:
Your location (City, State?)
Position (Working at a clinic/nursing home/hospital?)
Benefited or Per Diem?
Those factors greatly change your income.

The answer is definitely going to depend alot on location.
sorry, I forgot to add that I would be working in NY, Putnam or Westchester County. Im not sure about where I would be working (hospital, clinic, etc), Im open to all those options right now depending on what the pay is??...
Well a clinic is probably not going to have night shift hours. I'm not too familiar with the NY new grad pay, but here in PA, most new grads start at $19-$20/hr, with $1/hr more for working nights.
wow, thats alot lower than I expected...I was expecting to start at $60K as a new grad working nights!
....in the hospital
Not sure how close your area is to NYC, as NYC nurses do make more. On average though, in PA new grads will make $30-$35,000 a year. I will say that many nurses on my floor do make $50-60,000 by working double shifts and overtime.

Actually quite a few hospitals in Chicago start new grads at $24/hr or less. The highest I have seen is around $28/hr plus $2-3 shift diff. and another $2-3 for weekends.
my question is regarding NY only, and specifically in Putnam and Westchester counties..
