Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Ack, another question.
What I have gleamed so far perusing this thread is that APHRA is requesting for the original Certificate of Good Standing and the passing IELTS result, but what of school documents? I see some people have asked their schools to have their documents (or at least their transcripts) sent directly as well although the AGOS-40 form states that notarized/certified true copies will be accepted.... :uhoh21:
Again apologies for the queries. I am itching to get started on that app. :)
certified true copies of DETAILED SCHOOL DOCUMENTS. DETAILED COURSE DESCRIPTION OF NURSING ANG NON NURSING SUBJECTS :-) Attached with your application formAck, another question. Sadly may intake for ltu is already closed.. Try other schools! :) go! :)Hi everyone! :)I submitted my application to AHPRA VIC last january 20, and I got my eligibility letter yesterday. The assessment was really fast. :) Anyway, does anyone here know if La Trobe still has a slot for this May?

Oh, man :/ I was hoping for LTU since I have a cousin living in Bendigo. Do you know what other schools have vacant slots? I wasn't able to do advance research because I was really expecting that my LOE would take 4-5 months. Haha. I guess I just got lucky with my application.

hi aila. . i'm still wondering about the case of kringkring . . . i am really confused about the system of their assessment . if they are processing the applications in chronological order, how come kringkring got her papers assessed first .they told us that they are processing september applicants how come they have assessed the application submitted last january .
it is difficult to have concern, everyone rushed the wa ahpra office because it was declared
the 'quick assessment office' and 'easier assessments'. so everyone joined the bandwagon and sent their applications there, without thinking that everyone else was doing the same!!
the ahpra staff in perth must have felt like they needed a holiday after the the daily mail came in from september onwards.
send your applications to cities that you are likely to be around, just in case you want to visit that office. perth has smaller population so smaller registry staff, same as act, whereas melbourne and sydney have big populations so therefore more on the register and therefore more staff.
the only advantage i can see of sending it to perth is that they were giving 2 years to do the bridging course, if this is the case, when you do get your letters can you let others know on this forum. so it may be worth the wait.
