Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Hi! Has anyone gone to ACFE here? I'd like to ask whether the clinical placements they were assigned to after the theory hours are within or near the city or were they assigned to far-flung suburbs? With Mercy Health, the cliical placement is just within their own hospital, right?
"ACFE: The location of placements depends on availability and may be in Tasmania, South Australia and of course Victoria. It is important that students are prepared financially for possible additional travel and accommodation costs in the event their clinical placements are interstate." But I will try inquiring about ACFE program too. I'm just taken aback by the AUD250 application fee and the fact that when I checked the AUD rate versus peso, it rocketed to 46:1...whoa...

I also want to try getting in ACFE for their soonest possible intake but the application fee hurts my pocket, especially when i checked the australian dollar rate..woah..

my case officer emailed me that they have a large volume of papers for final approval and the assessment is a lengthy process. maybe your papers are for final approval too.
