Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Thanks! :) Keep your hopes up, I'm sure your LOE will come anytime soon. In my case, I kept on sending emails to AHPRA regarding my application. Haha. Now I have to face another challenge--finding a school. It gets so tiring as to I don't know what facilities have vacant slots for this year's intake.
Does anyone here know any BP schools who are still accepting applicants for this year?
I need help. AHPRA WA just sent me this email:
I refer to your application for registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) received on 12 September 2011.
An initial assessment of your application has been undertaken and the following outstanding requirements have been identified.
- Application form You have answered 'No/NA' to question 16 in relation to committing to practise the profession only if you have appropriate Professional Indemnity Insurance (PII) arrangements in place. On this basis, if you could please amend your answer from 'no' to 'yes' for the professional indemnity insurance question (via email will be acceptable) I will then proceed with the assessment of your application.
In order that further consideration can be given to your application, you will need to provide the outstanding documentation noted above within the next 30 days, ie before 7 March 2012.
Please be aware that if the outstanding documentation is not received before 7 March 2012 it will be taken that you do not wish to proceed and that you wish to withdraw your application. If you are unable to provide the documentation before 7 March 2012, please email me to arrange a suitable alternative date.
Does this mean I should change my answer to yes? and exactly what document should i pass?

Hello. I have my visa granted today. (thank God!) for those who had their visa processed electronically, did you have your passport stamped with your visa? Or you just printed the diac letter? TIA!
