Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

We seem to be in receipt of all the documentary requirements to complete the assessment of your application form.
Your application has now been escalated for final approval. Please note, as every application is assessed on its own merits, a time frame cannot be guaranteed.
Please await for notification regarding the outcome of your assessment.

when did they send you this email? usually when they say that its for final approval it would take about 5 days more before you receive your approval letter.
Hi CranberryJuice,
Thank you very much for your reply.. Its good to hear from someone from the Kingdom also..
yes, I think I have to visit the nearest consulate..
How about you, have you already done with the translation of your documents?
i'm just preparing my documents also.. I got a one year time frame coz i still have 11 mos before my contract will be finish....
I also contacted an immigration consultant in AU and they advised me also to visit the consulate with regards to my translation queries..
by the way what documents do we have to be translated: I got the MOH and Saudi council.
thanks and looking forward for your reply...
Yeah, I am working in one of the biggest private hospital here in the Eastern Province. My collegues told me that I can request my passport for official purposes such as taking the IELTS through our HR Department.
Already talked to my Nurse Manager here and informed me that he is willing to give me a day-off to take the exam.
My 2-year contract here will end by February next year, so I am cautiously planning my strategy given a 1-year timeframe for me to do everything I can with the process, because when all goes well, I dont want to stay for too long waiting in the Phil when I am done here.
Do you have a sample CV I can use as a guide?
Hi Peter
good to know that someone like me from the Kingdom is Aspiring also to move to AU.
How was everything pal...we are on the same boat..like me i'm still on the process of collecting my docs..
I think sample of CV..was being posted early on this thread..
and you can check also the AHPRA website for the guidelines.
Gudluck..

You're welcome! I will visit the Australian consulate tomorrow to get the list/requirements until such time that my documents will be available for translation and notarial seal. Hoping I could share whatever information I have from the consulate.
With regards to our Saudi Council License, I am not sure though if APHRA still needs the certificate of good standing apart from the license certificate. If I have interpreted it right, APHRA needs the licensing body to send it directly to them, the same way that we are doing with our PRC license.
If your certificate of employment is written in Arabic, translation is of course needed. In my case, my certificate of employment was written in English .
Police clearance needs to be translated.
Who knows the contact number for Nationwide Health Systems Cebu Inc? The number posted on the immi website doesn't work I think. I've been trying to call them for the medical exam and all I get is number unreachable.
If you're from cebu, just go there directly. That's what I did. They are open 8 to 5 pm monday to saturday. I went there last monday jan 30. It's on a first come, first serve basis. Arrive before 8 am. They just post a paper outside the door and you write your name on the list. These are the requirements:
NO FASTING. AVOID SODAS, COFFEE, ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES, SWEET DRINKS/FOODS. DRINK LOTS OF WATER

smile910i have a multiple 456 visa since i will start my bp on march 5, and i have employment which will start august. what type of visa should i apply for once my 3 months is finished? i don't want to fly back to my home country anymore because it's expensive. am i eligible for the bridging visa? my 457 visa will start on august once i commence work.you would need to apply for a tourist visa, unless funny business is going on, your employer cannot apply for a 457 long term business visa until you are a qualified rn in australia so your visa cannot start just when your contract starts unless you are registered as a nurse with ahpra temporary business (long stay) - standard business sponsorship (subclass 457)
to start work without visa is illegal.

toffzter are sponsorhips available in australia like that of nz? i've heard that in nz you can apply for sponsorship to shoulder a portion of your bp tuition. is there such thing in australia?not from australia, nursing students here are flat out getting help to complete their studies.
there is however, i believe, companies in the phils that are putting nurses families to ransom for their properties and paying for bridging courses etc. ganishing wages and paying poor wages to nurses to pay them back, it is against all employment/immigation/visa laws. the employers in australia should be shamed at this scam and if caught everyone, including the said nurses will be prosecuted.
hope these companies making their money, they have back up plans to when the jobs dry up.

Good to hear again from you cranberryJuice,..
Hopefully you can get the list of the requirements on how to translate our docs and the necessary docs to be translated as well. I believe certificate of good standing is needed also needed though i'm not sure.. please clarify, those who submitted the same requirements from the kingdom.
Nice that you will be having your vacation, you will have much time to prepare your documents.
