Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

I think that is only for student visa good for a year stay. I don't know if this is still the correct info for the moment, I read from previous posts that 1,000AUD/month of stay will be enough. If you plan to stay 3 months, since this is the usual program length of Bp schools, then you can have 3,000AUD which is around 135k php if the exchange rate is 45. Plus you are to present the receipt of your tuition fee which is around 400-500k php. So maybe 200-300k php show money might be enough? I'm not sure with this though and I hope to be enlightened with this too :)
KRINGKRING . . .really?. . .how come your application is for final approval already? since you have just submitted last January? . . My friend and I submitted our documents last September but we haven't receive email from AHPRA that it is for final approval already . I called AHPRA this morning and they told me that they are now assessing the September applicants but how come they have not assess ours. . .
i just submitted it to WA this january.. i received 3 emails from them, the last one states that its for final approval..
really? you actually received 3 emails? are those emails answers when you followed up or they just emailed you out of nowhere? I submitted mine december 2011 and i haven't received any email from them except for the confirmation that they already received my documents.
Really? I submitted mine also in WA on sept 2011. Three weeks ago I called up their office and they told me that they are now processing sept applicants in chronological order.the agent also told me that my papers wouldnt be processed faster even if i keep on emailing or calling them up every now and then. May we know how come u got ur third email from them eventhough you passed your papers just a month ago? I wonder what's taking them so long..
Hi guys, been browsing this site for some time now and basically I became interested on pursuing my goal to live and work in AUS thanks to the hardwork that people have dedicated in this thread to help out their fellow nurses.
I am a registered nurse currently working here in saudi arabia for a year now, and has worked in the Philippines for 3 years before coming here.
I will be taking my IELTS this May or June here in Al-Khobar, and right now in the process of preparing the paperwork needed for assesment with AHPRA.
Do you know some people who have taken the AHPRA-BP-REG Australia route from Saudi Arabia?
I am currently licensed as a nurse both with the PRC and Saudi Commission for Health Specialties, so do I need to request both a certificate of good standing from PRC and SCFHS? or a PRC copy alone will suffice?
For criminal background check, do I need to submit a Police Clearance from this country?
And for the CV, can anyone please send me a copy/format of your curriculum vitae to [email protected]
These are my queries for now.
Many Thanks!
Peter
