Meeting AHPRA requirements as a International Trained Nurse from the Philippines
Hi! ajlynx16 and pringxoxo i read in the previous thread that you both are in for the january 2013 intake of ihna melbourne. I passed all the necessary documents and my application is now on the department who realeses the offer letter.I also read that prior to receiving the offer letter, you both undergone to a skype interview, how was it? Was it a formal interview that I still need to wear a business attire of some sort? What are the next steps? How many weeks did they give you before you comply with all requirements (e.g tf, visa, etc). Could you share some info regarding good accommodations around the area? I applied for Acfe's intake on january 2013 and my skype interview will be on the 19th. Did anyone applied for that intake also? How was the interview? I started with a consultancy firm but it seems that they dont update me with my bp school applic and they are too preoccupied with assisting other applicants. Sadly, i wasted one month of sensless waiting... So i decided that im doing this on my own :) others have succeeded their way without the help of such firm... im sure as hell i can do it on my own too :)

has anyone of you heard about the UNisa offer? they are willing to waive your AHPRA LOE. meaning, you can start their bridging program while waiting for your LOEs. well, the downside is, you have to finish 4mons of BP :)

New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2
hi i sent mine in wa on sept16 and good thing i filled up their inquiry form on their website because i usually call them. For the first time i am being emailed by my registration officer Ms.*.. I am somewhat relieved because everytime i call up their office they keep on mentioning different case officers.she said that she'll email me as soon as the assesment of my application commences. A little bit late than you are guys, but its better than no update at all. i know we'll be all receiving our LOEs soon :)

quote from vanessa2685 hi irin,so does that mean, they have started assessing our documents? because i emailed them last jan 17, the reply i got was, "once assessment of your application commences." for me that means, they have not begun to assess it yet. i emailed ms. **. by the way. ps: were your docs sent by a consultancy agency too? hi! i submitted mine in wa and every time i call their office to follow up on my application, they mention different names of my case officer. first, it was ** but then it was transferred to ** then to ** and now my papers is in the hands of **.. the reason behind this is either they were transferred from other department or were permanently resigned from ahpra. i don't know how to react on this kind of situation, seriously.

New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2
A forumer here mentioned that after she submitted her papers on August, she received her letter, 3months after. I assumed that I'll receive mine on December if I submitted my application on September. However, January will end soon, I hope they'll contact me this week.

I called up CON in Sydney and they told me that they will have BPs for the month of April, July and September 2012. Again, the tuition fee is AUD $ 10,000. I asked if they can accommodate my application while waiting for the eligibility letter, but they said that it's better to wait for it before they start processing the application. :)

hi! can you suggest any school in Victoria that accept RNs who have no hospital experience. When will the BP commence? My friend got his eligibility letter from NSW last week and he passed it on April 2011. TIA

Hi! I sent mine on September 16,2011. I called up AHPRA-WA two weeks ago, an agent told me that they are now processing the applicants of September. Your case officer emailed you already? Everytime I call their office, they keep on asssigning me to different case officer and told me to just wait for him/ her to contact me. The last time I checked, the applicants of August received their letters on November. It's been 4months and I wonder what happened to ours? I hope that we could receive it soon because I'm planning to enroll at CON in Sydney. :)
