Took NCLEX this Morning
Congratulations!! Job well done. :)

Took NCLEX-RN!!!
I answered a lot of prioritization questions and SATAs although I really didn't keep track of how many I was getting. I think the test covered a little bit of everything, but thankfully I didn't encounter anything too unfamiliar. My advice is to practice answering test questions as best you can, as I think test-taking strategies ultimately saved my skin, ha ha. Although knowing your content is good, you really cannot know everything. Good luck to you.

Took NCLEX-RN!!!
Hello. I took the NCLEX-RN exam today as well. I noticed that you're from Manila via your profile. I was wondering if we might have tested together? Congratulations, by the way! I got the good popup as well. :) Cheers!

May 2012 nclex support thread
I'll be taking the exam on the 3rd of May. I've been frequenting (albeit lurking) this forum for the past few months and reading everyone's stories inspires me so much. Good luck to all my fellow NCLEX takers. We can certainly do this!

Can a US citizen/NCLEX passer gain clinical experience in the Phils?
I certainly hope you can make the best out of your situation. Good luck!

Can a US citizen/NCLEX passer gain clinical experience in the Phils?
You can try looking up Filipino nursing blogs as they usually have a list of specific requirements for trainings/seminars but unfortunately they really ask for a valid PRC license (with BLS as the only exception).

Can a US citizen/NCLEX passer gain clinical experience in the Phils?
Have you considered that your chances of finding eventual employment in the US might be higher than finding work in the Philippines? It's really, really difficult to get into the well-known tertiary hospitals and even the smaller hospitals are freeze-hiring. Lots of old and new graduates are still unemployed or got into a field of work unrelated to their degree. It's been this way for several years now and I doubt it'd get better anytime soon.

Since you don't have a local license I don't think you can gain experience or even practice nursing here, I'm afraid. And since you're not a Filipino citizen or have dual citizenship, I'm not sure you can acquire the other government-issued requirements such as NBI clearance, SS and TIN #'s which employers are also looking for.

NCLEX review center
Try looking up Allgen and Rachel Allen as I've heard these NCLEX review centers are good, but I'm not really in the know, unfortunately. You can also try doing a search on this board for NCLEX review center recommendations. This thread (https://allnurses.com/philippine-nursing/list-nclex-review-282749.html) has several. :)

NCLEX review center
I'd recommend Kaplan (Q. Ave branch) but their tuition is expensive (23K I think?) unless you happen to avail of their promos. Their review program lasts for four months but it's mostly self-review which might not be everyone's cup of tea. You'll be given access to their lab where you can peruse videos and will be given your own review books, which I find to be very excellent references. They also have a 3-hour live class that lasts for two months but it's mostly test-taking strategies/rationales and not in-depth lectures. Since I work full-time I found this review center best suited for my schedule. I passed CGFNS last year on my first try and will be taking NCLEX in April. Good luck to you!

Cgfns and ga board endorsement requirements
I understand that this is very frustrating for you, but to my knowledge, you have to comply with the other state's requirements even for US license endorsements. California offers its own in-house review of credentials, but the rest of the states use CGFNS and their services require license validation in addition to the credentials review. While I do agree that this process can be very tedious, since you're a foreign-trained nurse, there's really no way to get around it, unfortunately. And as for the license validation, CGFNS has downloadable forms depending on the particular service you need. Just contact your local board and request that they fill up the form for you and have it sent directly to CGFNS.
