Hey u all, just want to know if anyone sides with me. i was a foreign trained bt fortunately i ve been able to get a lic. in California. i ve not been able to move to CA BECAUSE OF FEW THINGS so i decided to apply for lic by endorsement in GA and one of their requirements say must get evaluation from only CGFNS. 1. this should not happen that way because its endorsement not examination and once one state has evaluated and accepted ur application, i don't think anoda evaluation is necessary here. 2. And Cgfns should also review their requirements, because if u need an evaluation for a board for endorsement, validation of ur lic. in ur country is not also necessary. u only need something to show that at least its meets US education, so why then shd u send a validation form to ur country to be filled up? meanwhile u need a course by course evaluation. in fact am airing my view here because getting my lic. validation has been an obstacle and its never the same when getting something from anoda country as U S especially in my country(africa). so GA Board and CGFNS should please review their requirements for international nurses to be free from frustrations and other things.

may i also ask this; does it mean that you be certainly hired when you apply out of state, do a fon interview and HR ask you to fly and come meet the unit manager? I am in this situation now. thanks for your contributions.

Hello u all, just want to find out from our recent grads, if anyone have applied for the Moses Cone New Grad programme. just filled out an application and received an email that i shd open a link and schedule an interview. was it the same with everybody? if the same , how was it like? Hi James, jst want to share something, am a foreign trained nurse from Ghana have passed my nclex in about two months ago from the CA boards bt resides in GA here cos of marital issues, i ve started my endorsement process in GA and my obstacle is another evaluation from the cgfns. bt if u already had an evaluation wth this cgfns that is ok and GA board will need ur employment verification from whereever u ve worked b4 if u dont ve america experience. so if and only if u want to get GA lic. then bear in mind these two things are very important to them b4 u can be issue a lic.

Thanks, i,m hoping someone will give me that chance and hire me as one of the new graduates because i know when recruiters read my resume and they dont find any Americans hospital names and even college, they will not reread the resume again. IT PAYS TO BE A FOREIGN TRAINED NURSE.

hello Monkey123009, i think we re in the same soup now. i passed the board and now i can see my name at the CA board and yet no official results. what i dont understand is if i ve been given a license then there shouldnt be a problem mailing it but aaaaa well lets keep our fingers crossed cos as at now nothing can be done. congrats on ur success.

Hey u all, don't really know where i should post this but i think it will be good here. Am foreign trained nurse and i tested on Saturday, jst found out that i passed. My problem now is i ve no U S experienced and caanot be classify as a new graduate too, so where do i put myself when trying to apply for job, i decided to apply for new grad. programms b4 my test bt i had no offer and now that i ve passed i dont know what to do and what to include in my resume. please send suggestions if u ve one. I appreciate u all. thanks

Hey u all, may i ask this? is August for foreign nurses? i can see most of the test takers in August are foreign educated. anyway jst by the way. i will take mine on the 13th and cant wait for the D-day, am also a foreign educ. nurse and making use of every resources that come my way cos i also want to pass for the fist time and i know WITH GOD ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE.............GOOD LUCK TO U ALL.

hi, i ve been reading so many posts bt wasn't a memeber but because of your situation had to sign up and share my mind. well in the first place i understand your situation, i will be test in August bt from what i read from your post, its seems like you ve studied the review books available to the extent that when u get questions from other books , then it seems like those questions are different. my experience is the Kaplan strategies and review, i know every question in these books to the extent that, when i see any free Kaplan questions then i get angry Cos i dont even read through the questions carefully then will choose an answer, bt when i get different review books, it seems i ve not studied at all unless i go over it for sometime before i get my way throu. in short what am trying to say is that, when u go for ur test again, never rush and dont expect to see those questions u saw in ur review books but get the understanding of the questions and u will come out successfully. Dont be downhearted the downfall of a man is not the end of his life. Gud Luck to u.......
