Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

guys,i have to share this with you:
after one year of gathering docs, working to get experience and paying almost 1.500 aud to have my docs certified, i finally had all my docs sent to ahpra nsw!!!
i cant believe that my journey has just started:heartbeat

Congrats NurseNathalie!!! I'm planning to take BP,but don't know where to start. How long is the required experience? I hopeyou can help me with this.
Thank you!
So have u already sent ur docs?
AHPRA requires at least 3 mos of exp. but depending on where u r taking ur BP the exp required may vary from 1 to 2 years....
How long do u have?
Hope I have helped!
Guys, I 'm so frustrated! Please, let me rant...
I just received my 2nd email from AHPRA, the one where they list all your lacking documents. The thing is I have sent them ALL of those documents that they said I lacked, including my Certificate of Good Standing from New Mexico (I hold a now-expired license there) and from PRC. PRC goofed up the address though. They were supposed to send it to QLD but they sent it to WA instead! I don't know what happened with NM, sent them an email about it. I sent an online enquiry form to AHPRA about the PRC thing. I hope they'll consider it, or that they'd ask WA to send it to QLD... Ugh! I'm so cursing PRC!!!
Also, they did not accept the certified true copies of my supporting docs. I had them notarized by a lawyer who works at our Regional Trial Court here and she has the authority to notarize documents. Plus, this same lawyer certified a friend's documents and now she's done with ahpra and her school for her BP and is already applying for a visa! Admittedly, the attorney's seal doesn't bear a"Notary PUblic" title under her name. But why did my friend make it? Huhuhuhu I've asked my uncle to call AHPRA to explain this to them. I hope they'll understand and not make me send another set of documents to them. Darn expensive couriers...
Plus my IELTS!!! AHPRA wasn't able to receive it! UGH! This I still have to investigate...
My 3-month long hard work at getting everything perfect and sent to AHPRA has gone to waste
P.S. DON'T SEND YOUR APPLICATIONS TO QLD OR YOU'LL END UP LIKE ME... Gorgeously frustrated!
this is quite off topic... just want to know your thoughts with this...Does your college of nursing provided your detailed internships as to where and when it took place? I doubt if I could be able to remember and recall memories of the past hehe :) Thanks for any response
hi! this was also one of my concerns while writing my cv. what i did was i based it from the RLE Record i requested from my college. This record contained details such as the subject (ex. community health nursing, psychiatric nursing, etc.), no. of units (lecture and RLE), no. of weeks, and even the daily average number of patients in the hospital/ward. Luckily, too, i had a list of the dates and specific areas/hospitals written down on my 'student related learning experience handbook aka 'the greenbook' as a requirement before we graduate. i hope this helps. Good luck and God bless. :)

Thanks for that... I hope that my school records will bear such informations. I'm not really sure if I've written everything in my RLE manual... :)

Do I lack anything with these documents that i need to get from my university registrar? What other documents do I need? I'v run through this thread and these are the documents i got... Please Remind me if I've forgotten something... thanks for the big help :)
my oz dream came crumbling just now. was very positive before and even made plans as i was reading every bit of info that i could get in this thread. until i finished reading it just minutes before i posted this one. i was very eager to lay out my plans to my pop., gave him an idea about the process and told him that i might still make it in the market while there are still jobs available for us. told him that bp tuition would be at around 450000php. and then i saw a very skeptic look on his face. and my hunch was right. he didnt give in. explained further but he really wont budge. i guess this is the end for me if i only have the means to borrow money from some bank but i doubt theyd grant me
