New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Have any second coursers been positively assessed lately for bridging program RN in the last 1-2 months?

Hi Ceriwyn, my cousin, a second courser is actually in Australia right now for the VCHN BP that started last May 2011. I guess she passed the assessment that is why I am already moving to do the same. I will take my IELTS next month. Btw, I am a second courser too...

Are you newly grad 2nd courser? From what school or just the place of the school in Phil. I graduated from dvo and a 2nd courser as well.nil experience..have you started your application already. Im still in stage one. filling up the forms.

To fellow AHPRA applicants, did you include a Form 137A, a record from High School? A friend of mine mentioned that the agency he consulted required him to send one to AHPRA along with the other supporting documents. I have never read in the instructions that that form is required.

Thanks

I c, but after you get your eligibility, you can apply to whichever state you want for the BP?

Guys, please help me with my dilemma..I'm doing my BP next month till sept but my IELTS will expire in August, what should I do to apply to AHPRA and work visa? do I have to re-sit the IELTS or just present evidence that the medium of instruction of my secondary and tertiary education is in English? For those who have experienced this, please let me know what to do. Thank u very much.

Just a quick query to those who already have their much awaited correspondence from AHPRA. How long does it usually take to release an 'eligibility letter' once a case manager handles an application?

Thanks in advance..
