Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

Good day everyone! I finally sent my documents to AHPRA last April. I am told that I should be getting a notification from AHPRA that they have received all my documents. However, I haven't received an e-mail from them. I wonder if this is normal.Another thing is, my mom found out that the AHPRA fee was deducted from her credit card balance. Does that mean that they have started assessing my papers? *crossing my fingers* I sent my application at the Sydney, NSW AHPRA office, by the way. I am really worried.
Don't lose hope. Let's pray for the best.

hey zonroxRN... I had the same problem last may... I was scared they didn't receive my documents.. what I did was I called the AHPRA office and asked them about it. Then I inquired them about the status of my application... Maybe you should do the same... just to be sure... God bless!=)

Hi, when I started my application last October, they didn't send me a confirmation email either but be aggressive, call or email them yourself, then you will know. If they already deducted the fee from your mom's credit card, most probably they have already started processing your application. But again, it won't hurt if you ask. :)
