Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.
Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

I have sent my documents to them and they said that my letter from Victoria is valid. Irene Wong from CON told me to pay the fees already. I just need to know how far Woodcraft (near blacktown) is to Burwood. Is that a daily, commutable trip? If its too far I may look for a flatmate near Burwood. My friends in Australia says that NSW pays their nurses lower as compared to the other states. Brisbane pays a lot according to them.
Hellow Macpao87!
Its my first time here and would like to ask ask as to how did you pay the tuition at the college of nursing?
I might go for the sept. intake this year..
about that 3 month experience needed requirement for APHRA, I was just wondering if the 3-4 month training in the hospital would be ok or do you have to work as a volunteer. I'm sorry if ever this question was asked and answered before in the previous pages but I have a rare case of Tamaditis that I find it hard to scan the previous post. Ty so much in advance to the person who would answer this query.
To fellow AHPRA applicants, did you include a Form 137A, a record from High School? A friend of mine mentioned that the agency he consulted required him to send one to AHPRA along with the other supporting documents. I have never read in the instructions that that form is required. Thanks
Hi oceanspray! I think I knew whos that friend of yours! jejejeje!!!
my oz dream came crumbling just now. was very positive before and even made plans as i was reading every bit of info that i could get in this thread. until i finished reading it just minutes before i posted this one. i was very eager to lay out my plans to my pop., gave him an idea about the process and told him that i might still make it in the market while there are still jobs available for us. told him that bp tuition would be at around 450000php. and then i saw a very skeptic look on his face. and my hunch was right. he didnt give in. explained further but he really wont budge. i guess this is the end for meif i only have the means to borrow money from some bank but i doubt theyd grant me
Hey there! Engorgio!
Sorry dont know the exact spell!
Do not lose hope. Try browsing workabroad.ph and search for agencies hiring RNs to AU.
A lot of them will offer you to loan to a bank perhaps in Manila.
You might try SCS.

Hi everyone! I'm in the process of completing my documents for AHPRA. I am wondering about the medical certificate (stating fit to practice). Did you guys submit it along with the AHPRA application form? Or the medical certificate is just for the visa and BP school application? I hope to hear from you guys. Thanks!:)
