New grad Filipino nurse wanting to work in Australia/New Zealand Part 2

Published

Due to recent changes regarding applications for International nurses to Australia and the combining of the nursing boards to one central nursing board in Australia AHPRA I have started a new thread for people to discuss the new process on working in Australia.

Currently New Zealand is not accepting new applicants from International trained nurses except those that meet the Trans Tasman Mutual Recognition Agreement {TTMR} this will be updated once the New Zealand nursing board reopen their books to International nurses.

cindy_b:

do you know the requirements of how to apply as an immig.?

cioman:

hey, thanx for info you sent last time i was suppose to send it to Joy, the nurse whose sister is in Australia (im sending sms to her now, tnx a lot) . i really got busy reading some ielts materials i forgot to ask the questions about the immig. thing i wanted to ask but never mind im not even sure if i can qualify.. ielts is still the number one in the priority list even if we try to apply for PR or BP. :)

Hi, you can find the requirements at the website for immigration at http://www.immi.gov.au

I attended a seminar for immigration last month and the speaker of the agency

said that it would be faster to process the regional sponsored migration scheme

But they have contacts with employers that's why. Maybe you can try that one if you have experience.

I think it's cheaper too. If you want I can PM you the phone number of the agency if you want to inquire?

1) ARNTP = thread member Rn_Oz1 took this course.

2) IELTS = you can try other ways to go around this rule, that's your choice, but if the question is "what is OUR advice?", answer: take ielts with score of 7 each band..

3) If you send documents via Phil. post office, then send your documents to a PO BOX address.. if you send docus using private courier, do not send it to a PO BOX address, instead send it to the office address.

4) ACT Health? it doesnt matter, as long as you get a job from ACT health, NSW health, etc.

5) Hello world! hello Davao members! they said nurses from Davao are handsome and pretty, so they say.. cheers!

Wow... that fast?? are all states that fast in acknowledging the application or only victoria?? Anyone received an acknowledgement from ACT lately??

Sent mine from Melbourne VIC as well and after a week I got an email acknowledging my application already.

But I don't think they are that fast compared to other states because most I know send their applications in VIC.

I also sent them an enquiry asking if they received my Certificate of good standing from PRC, and thank God they responded asap that yes they got it.
