Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
Hi!just got here.some help please!!!!!I will be attending BP on Jan 2010,AAON Uni of Ballarat???What is the uni like?got no idea. Can I apply for a nursing job right away?don't want to waste time going back. Will it be difficult to pass BP?Thank you ssoooo much I badly need feedback here!!!!
hi kuchi... if you don't mind, how did you choose your BP provider? are you enrolled in Uni of Ballarat already? Ryan said it's very far from civilization (joke!), i mean far from Melbourne the capital of Victoria. I am doing mine in Bendigo and it's 2 hrs away, Ballarat is even farther... :)
Hello everyone! another noob here...
i'm a june 2009 board exam passer and for the last 5 months, i've been enjoying my vacation/break [tambay!]. it's about time that i start thinking of my future. next year, i'll be taking the NCLEX-RN and maybe start applying as a volunteer or staff nurse.
with all the retrogression that's going on in the US, chances of securing work in the USA is really slim. that's when i started thinking of other countries like CND, NZ and AUS. so far, australia is the most attractive working destination for me because of the climate. US is still my priority and AUS second. if the US is still in retrogression 2-3 years from now, i'll definitely go ahead with AUS. So, here's my newbie question, how can i work in AUS? this thread has 3500+ comments and browsing each reply will take time... a link perhaps that contains some useful info or what part of this thread should i start reading?. i want to be enlightened... i want to plan my future carefully...
Thank you so much countmein, got my letter from NBV still confused and overwhelmrd with the system in oz that, swhy.but will do a lot o reading (with what you gave).Muchas gracias
@kuchi At least you got your letter. Im still waiting hehe..i did all the reading first..wish i sent my application first. May i ask when you sent your applicatino and how long did it take you to receive it? Does NBV send a receipt for the payment first or does it come with the application?
Thank you again cia_88..... hope you wont get tired answering quires... My plan as of the moment is to review for my ielts and perhaps next year i will have the guts to take it.
any review center online or Philippines that you all could suggest.
Yes, there are a few agencies here in the Philippines offering the CAS pathway, job assistance, and CAS review but it's too expensive, triple or quadruple the price compared when you apply on your own. And none of those few that I attended orientations with are POEA accredited (they are migration agents) so still, the choice is yours. Just bear in mind that application for the CAS is now nearing it's term so better hurry a bit.
Hey guys, i sent my application via LBC to NBV last November 13. Then after I emailed them, NBV replied that the have received the Verification but they are still waiting for my application. When I checked with LBC, they said they delivered it last November 17 (although there are some inconsistencies on their replies). Does it really take that long for the board to actually receive the package? Should I just send another application?
