Hi everyone, please help me.
I graduated last march 2007 here in the Philippines and I have my license here already.
Because of oversupply of nurses here, it's too difficult to find a job.
That's why I'm looking forward to working in Australia or New Zealand.
However, I'm confused. Esp about Australia.
I already have my bachelors degree here.
When I go there in Aus to work as RN, must I take a diploma in nursing first? can I work while studying?
After obtaining my diploma there, am I already a registered nurse?
Thank you!
In my case, they required my TIN, they have a form that you need to fill-up and it requires a TIN. Try calling ANZ so that you can have 1st hand info and then share it to us after
Does anyone have another number for ANZ. I tried 8485091 and 848 5086 and they both dont work..So much for trying to share info hehe
Hi! Anyone here had their medicals? at what facility? i'm confused with one accredited facilities. they are only requiring me chest x-ray. I insist that I should go for full medicals but I don't know what makes them think that chest xray will suffice. I don't want to be doing this all over again. It's exhausting and also expensive.

i assume you're applying for a tourist or visitor or short stay visa.. in the minds of the auz embassy and that facility you are only required with "simple/minor" health diagnostics (i.e. x ray).. they are correct, and they don't care or don't know that you need additional "health diagnostics" as being required by the QNC/CAS/Hospital (whatever).. Hence, you should insist that you must have the additional health tests that you want, particularly Hepa B which was mentioned by Branyan..
Now if you want "full medicals", tell that facility that you want a medical check up that is the same with those applying for working visa.. its expensive, very costly, but you can have it if you choose to, just to tell the facility to shut their mouth and listen to you as their customer (something to that effect) ..
anyway, for accuracy, ask Branyan..
good luck..

What I did was to have my medicals first before applying for my visa. I just brought my receipt from the clinic and included that to the application form, I went to the VIA center in Makati and told them I'm applying for a tourist visa and already had my medicals and the clinic will just forward the results.
For the medical exam, go to an accredited clinic and tell them that you need to have a complete medical exam eventhough you're applying just for a tourist visa, explain to them that you're going to enter a medical facility as part of your clinicals so you need to have a complete medical exam. I took my medicals at St.Luke's in Ermita. In my case, I have a current Hep B and Hep C and HIV result which I showed to the physician which he considered, he just asked me to have a repeat HIV test which was done free by the clinic because I have a current HIV result. I think I just paid 3300..
What I did in the clinic is have an Xray, submit a urine and blood sample, I also had a complete physical exam. You can finish it all in 1 day, just go there early, the clinic is already open at 6 am.
guys, in IELTS, if you used a word many times will it be counted as one (writing test)? or will it be counted one by one, regardless of how many time you have used it?i need a reply...thanks.
Hi rlssem!
As far as I know the the words are counted one by one. For example, if you used the word EXAMPLE twice, the word count is 2. Try using the word counter in microsoft word for easy counting!
cheerios!
